So Club takeover at Summerslam?

 

It's funny that they describe Summer Slam as a season finale, but the stakes don't feel very high at all. There has been almost no build to any of these feuds that are supposed to culminate in two weeks.

How many belts do we think change hands?

My guess is:

Finn wins the UC
Dean retains
Club wins Tag belts
Miz loses
Sasha retains
If it's Roman, Roman wins. Anyone else, Rusev wins.

 

Im with you, though Im not sold on Crews over Miz. Though itd make sense to move Miz out of the IC picture and have him do other enhancement work (and let a guy like Corbin chase the IC title).

I also hope part of Finn winning the UC and the Club winning the tag titles is that they eventually do a double-turn where Finn turns heel and forms the Club.

 

Crews is the one I'm up in the air about. He has the look and in ring stuff down, but the guy needs a ton of promo work. The one he gave after the win was a start, but didn't even make sense in the context of what had happened. I really hope they don't continue to have post match interviews directly after the match. It just didn't feel right. It felt like the end of a football game or something.

 

Maybe with Bryan coming to raw tonight they'll do a trade, especially after the Shelton thing fell through

 

I think the build has been fine, given the circumstances. New Day/Anderson and Gallows, Cena/AJ and Sasha/Charlotte are all culminating a couple months of build. Dean/Ziggler and Finn/Seth are newer due to the brand split, but the build we've gotten in two weeks has all been fine.

Belts make sense, not sure about the Miz dropping the belt yet. Would probably be a good time to do it, but Crews is such an underwhelming champion...

 

I kind of feel they should have saved the " final encounter " between Sami/Owens for SS with the loser going to SD or something.

 

I'm with Henry on all those picks, could see the IC match going either way though but I think it's time for a new champ.

I really have no idea what is going to happen with Seth/Finn, which makes it great. If I had to put money on it I'd say Seth. Just because it seems Finn's push is successful even without a title win but thankfully I feel like anythings possible since the brand split. I'm quite excited for Summerslam. Yas.

 

seth needs to win clean no bullshit to keep his character STRONG and the money is in the face chasing the heel anyways

 

Seth's gotta win IMO. A loss brings him down, a loss for Finn after a great match elevates him no matter what.

 

Only way I see Finn winning is with a double turn

 

It'd be a bad idea to have Finn win unless he is a heel, I agree.

 

Watch WWE have the Club team up with Rollins.

 

Rollins needs to stay a singles guy.

 

From an entertainment stand point, I'd love to see the double turn. It would add such a great dimension to Finn that he needs and we'll get the Seth face run that he needs.

From a monetary stand point, there's just so much money to be made from face Finn selling all of the demon stuff, and the fact that he probably only has a few years left in him, they have to pull the trigger now.

Balor wins as a good guy and they roll with it and make all of the money

 

Who's to say heel demon doesn't go over merch-wise? Kids like demons whether they are good or bad. And they were over HUGE in Japan with the same gimmick. His best work is as a heel. Only bad thing is that he can't tell the fans to fuck off any more.
