Jealous of you guys going to Takeover. Gotta find a way to watch it on the ride home from Boston before Summerslam

I'm not really too bummed about missing NXT in Brooklyn this year. The card isn't really shaping into anything I'm too stoked about right now. I feel like we are getting two matches that are going to be way too similar in Asuka/Bayley and Joe/Shinsuke. I get really bored with too much Strong Style type wrestling.

Trying to get caught up, on Day 9 atm. B-block has been far, far better than A-Block so far.

My mother thinks that Bobby Roode's theme is one of the worst things she's ever heard and now I have no idea how she and I are related

The Gargano/Ciampa match might be my favorite match of the year.

Ryback officially released from his WWE contract.

I really hope some indie promoter decides to book Ryback/Cage because that would be awesome, Ryback/Elgin could be cool too.

Colbert doing the zero handed pushups after Cena saying he can't do them was a nice touch

I was looking at the ROH World title reign lengths, and if Jay Lethal still has the belt by the end of September (which he probably will) he'll overtake Daniel Bryan's 462 day reign, making him the third longest reigning champion in ROH history behind Nigel McGuinness and Samoa Joe.

ROH has always held Bryan, Nigel, and Joe's super long title reigns in very high esteem as part of their company's legacy, so as much as I like Lethal it's kind weird to think that in a month in a half he'll legit be considered as a part of ROH's Mount Rushmore.

I never thought I'd see the day where ROH is behind WWE and TNA for quality programming

I still like ROH more than TNA, but yeah they were killing it in 2015 and had tons of momentum, but in the past 8 months they've kind of blew it.

Even if you look at the upcoming card for DBDH XIV, they're feeding Dalton Castle and Silas Young two of their strongest midcard guys to Okada and Shibata in what are sure to be entertaining matches, but how are ROH midcard guys going to build forward momentum if they keep getting jobbed out to NJPW main eventers? And how are we supposed to have any real excitement or personal investment about the match when we all know the ROH wrestlers are not going to win? It almost feel like instead of building storylines for most of their roster leading to a PPV match they're just like "fuck it we'll just put you in a random match with an IWGP champion". It's lazy as fuck booking.

Also if they've spent a year in a half building Lethal just to have Cole win the title from him dirty i'm going to be so disappointed.

The combining with NJPW has watered down both of them big time. Well, ROH for sure. NJPW has been still doing well.

Rewatched the last week's CWC, and man it's kind of sad to see the more slow paced technical guys like Sabre Jr and Gulak not get over with the Full Sail crowd that much. They were dead silent for their matches.

I read something that hit the nail on the head.

ZSJ is wrestling like people are paying to see HIM. And most of the time, people are. But in this case, you have an entire crowd that hasn't followed most of these guys. The problem isn't the style, it is the wrestlers comfort levels in what they have been doing for years. Throwing something like that in front of a crowd that is expecting flippy shit is going to come off super boring. DB is basically doing his best job putting these guys over, but it might now work given the audience.

Went to NXT Largo last night. Really meh show since everybody of note besides Bayley was at the A-squad show in New Orleans. Our main event was Tino Sabbatelli/Wesley Blake, that's how depleted this B-squad card was lol. At one point the timekeeper fucked up and rang the bell on a 2 count.

Match of the night was Patrick Clark/Kenneth Crawford, Patrick is so goddamn entertaining as a heel, and Crawford is really impressive in the ring. The other best moment was when Nicola Glenncross (formerly ICW's Nikki Storm) did a fantastic in ring promo.

I can't get Tino's music out of my head though
