The only slight positive out of the Smackdown roster being so terrible is that Bray Wyatt almost has to become a champ by default. There's 5 guys on that whole roster that are believable champs (6 if you count ADR or Ziggler...which...).

But the draft was fucking awful. Why not actually let Finn Balor on stage? Or American Alpha?

I also feel awful for Becky. Unless they do a lot of womens crossover stuff, she is gonna disappear on Smackdown. Its like she got sent back to NXT...

 

Best part of the draft is that none of the people rumored to come back were drafted. I still think we see some of them soon. Carlito in particular.

Yeah that's actually a really fun angle, have Heath Slater while still being employed by WWE pop up in random indies. He'll probably show up in NXT first, and then Evolve, Progress, maybe RevPro. as they're all known to be somewhat affiliated with WWE. Imagine if he shows up in Reseda though lol.

 

Have him against Adam Cole and just have them do a Bay Bay-off.

I was excited for a Smackdown show that would be all about wrestling. But, 90% of the guys I want to watch do that are on RAW.

Cruiserweight and IC title on Smackdown (with no WHC title split), Divas and IC on RAW, champ spread between. This could have all worked out.

Instead, Smackdown has a few buried Divas, a weird tag-team feeder league, and the IC title. So either there's gonna be a LOT of competition for that IC belt, or we're gonna see Baron Corbin with a title before we see Sami/Finn/etc have one

 

Also, if Bayley isnt called up at Battleground, and then added to the Smackdown roster, then oof at that Smackdown Womens division. Its Becky and Carmella as faces...and 4 others they cant reasonably turn face.
