Matt Hardy is my new favorite person.

 

Raw got the inarguable top choice in Rollins, the
biggest NXT draft pick in Balor, arguably all of the most over talent in the company with New Day, Owens, Lesnar, Rusev, Enzo & Cass, Zayn, and Cesaro, the three top tag teams, the top two women, a cruiserweight division, and bob backlund.

Smackdown got a boring AJ Styles that will have no one to play off of and will be relied on as the only main event level heel alternative to Bray Wyatt, who was also weakened through the draft.

 

I don't think AJ is going to be boring just because he doesn't have the club, but we'll see.

Should lead to even better matches with less screwy finishes, just make him a cocky-heel who can win by himself.

 

It means nothing Braun/Rowan/Harper will just languish as they always have. Just as everyone on the main roster always have.

 

With AJ on a different show.

With a piss-poor roster of basically no women/tags to interact with.


Everything else on your list is a minus.

 

Do think Finn having Gallows and Anderson is good for him, he can be a bit of a boring promo as a face

 

New announce teams for WWE’s New Era



Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton Monday nights on Raw, while Mauro Ranallo, JBL and David Otunga handle the commentary for SmackDown Live every Tuesday night.

JBL on Smackdown is going to be a disaster.. Wanted Graves so badly on SD

Draft Opinions
- Good format. The special on the network was great, felt like an actual sports show.
- Heath Slater undrafted lmfao
- Bayley undrafted? She has to be the surprise partner of Sasha. What about Nikki Bella not drafted? Basically they gave Becky Lynch her own tv show....but the question remains, TWO women titles? I mean, they pretty much have to right? Unless they're really going to put the entire NxT brand on her shoulders.
- No more club...aka Finn Balor + Gallows/anderson shall commence.
- No more WYATT FAMILY!? The wyatt family compound was the swan song?
- LMAO at drafting Baron Corbin so high

still a ton of questions to be answered. Two tag team titles? two women titles? and how are they going to establish another main belt?

 

and Darren Young getting the crossface .....genius and duh and awesome

 

I love how they a) didn't include this in the draft for some weird reason and b) aren't putting Graves on Smackdown. They started out so well bringing back Bryan and putting AJ and Cena on Smackdown, and then proceeded to fuck up everything else they needed to do to make it a ratings success.

 

Cant wait to see cena put over everyone

 

raw roster is great. shame about SD and AJ. really confused by the women's and tag div's. and Kalisto not being in the cruiserweights.

 

Two positive things about Smackdown are that Becky Lynch and American Alpha are almost guaranteed big pushes and top spots in their respective divisions. The moments when Natty puts over Becky, and the Usos put over Jordan and Gable should be cool.

As much as I love Sasha Banks, I actually think the Women's division on Smackdown is overall better. Natalya, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Naomi is a pretty solid roster, even with Eva Marie in there.

 

I understand putting Graves with Cole and Saxton so he can make fun of them, but that's another huge win for Raw.

 

Yeah, it really seems like there was a severe lack of thought put into this. I get that Raw is three hours, but for the past few years they've had everyone and have failed to capitalize on it. Only thing I could think of is that they see having Cena exclusive to Smackdown as a major ratings draw and that Smackdown was set with him

 

I don't think Styles is boring at all without the Club - if anything, I'd say it's the other way around. I would bet on Orton or Ziggler, maybe even both, turning heel. Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but splitting up the Wyatt Family seems to indicate they have a plan for him (although it could easily just be that they want to push Strowman separately).

Raw may have got the "top" tag teams, but Smackdown got the best workers with American Alpha. I also am much higher on the Usos than most (they never have a bad match). The Smackdown women's roster is much better top to bottom. I am reserving judgement on the cruiserweight division until I see it in action, because Raw didn't actually draft that many cruiserweights.

That said, Raw definitely has the advantage, especially with the Graves/JBL nonsense. I just don't think it's overwhelming. There are plenty of reasons to watch Smackdown.

 

Brock failed a second drug test the night of his fight. OOF.

 

Oh boy... That has to be on WWE's list. And if it is, today's the last day they can suspend him and have Brock still be at summerslam

 

I guess Brock was a big bust for raw after being picked that high huh? Jk

 

I wonder if wrestlers' agents were involved at all in making some of the show decisions

 

Jericho's probably my favorite of all time, but I really don't get why he was drafted before KO
