So that Rollins/Ambrose match is definitely going to end in a Raw v. Smackdown brawl

 

I'm surprised they didn't put the cruiserweights on smackdown with bryan and have the women on raw with mick. That seems so obvious that the only explanation I can find would be that they're not splitting them up. I have no idea what's going on with these secondary divisions though, I think they're really thinning out the tag division.

 

I feel like tag teams need to be split across brands cause otherwise you lose storyline potential about guys teaming up. Belt can probably float though. Now that I think of it, it could actually work out kinda well to have guys like Enzo and Cass and the New Day feud over twitter/call each other out on their shows, but not actually get in the ring together until a PPV.

 

Shouldn't dean go to raw so Steph can torture him and demean him for losing the belt to Rollins in order to bring on a storyline that he could actually matter in?

When I was a kid I absolutely loved/hated when those endings would happen. WWE would do it too. I would be so amped every monday to see what happened after the show went off-air the week before. It's just impossible to recreate these days though.

 

Worst part about that is that they didn't even have the announcers tell people to tune into the network for the conclusion after Raw.

 

By the time I heard that they were announcing it on the network, they were already done with everything

 

not to be nitpicky but it's funny to see that most of the people on this list aren't people that are in good standing in the wwe. im not seeing anyone that's really been on TV all that much in the past 5 years, and i definitely see a lot of people who are notoriously pretty anti-wwe.

i'm not putting 2 and 2 together here or anything, just fascinating.

 

Some of the guys definitely have a strong argument. Chavo in particular.

 

bingo. i dont have an issue with them doing a stunt to promote the network..... in fact, they should be doing more KAYFABE things on the network. "Tune into the network to see what happened"... "tune into the network to see who steph picks as GM" "Tune into the network to see Orton return".... but yes it's all pointless if Cole and the WWE doesn't actively promote that during the progam and in this case, while the show's going off the air.

 

oh im sure they do. in fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see this be quite the easy lawsuit to win, but as we see, there's no future WWE hof'ers here, there's no wrestler that will ever make a tv appearance, etc. Shane douglas, jazz, the hebner's, sabu, muhammas hassan, adam bomb, admed johnson... i mean, this is a who's who of people i'd think of when i think of "people who probably hate the WWE and don't care about pissing them off".

 

I was disappointed by the Foley pick. I wanted something more exciting. And it seems like Foley and Bryan are odd choices as opposing GM's. Could be worse though.

The whole title match fiasco is really lame. Would have been a great moment for a clean finish or a surprise return or something. Anything but that nonsense that occurred.

 

Did anyone do the draft simulator on the WWE site? How limited is it?

 

Saw some writer point this out on a blog or a dirtsheet and feel dumb for not realizing but.. these Dean/Seth matches mean nothing. Like absolutely nothing.

Even if you win, you're going into a triple threat match this weekend where being the champ gives you zero advantage. Totally meaningless in kayfabe.

 

They kayfabe matter for the draft. If Deans beats Seth clean its harder for Steph to justify picking Seth first

 

Most interesting thing will be if smackdown picks dean 1 or 2 and he loses the title making the pick much harder to justify. Especially when you're picking Ambrose to bring legitimacy to smackdown with the title... Blah

 

AJ is the only one who should have the Smackdown title. Hopefully that happens at Summerslam.

 

I hope they completely mock the nfl drafts with this tonight. nothing would make me happier than the show starting with vince coming out, thanking the crowd, and announcing that raw is officially on the clock. they could show war rooms and phone calls to each superstar. hell, text shoemaker a few of the picks before hand and have him tweet them out as the show goes on.

 

Any confirmation they'll split the belts? Still hoping it doesn't happen but yea... Probably, sigh

 

I think trading wrestlers is a really fun thing, I hope at some point they incorporate that.

 

No confirmation, but the fact that they suddenly stopped refering to the big belt as the "WWE World Heavyweight Championship" and started calling it the "WWE Championship" shortly after the brand split was announced is a pretty telling giveaway

 

Cole, Ranallo, Saxton, and Lawler all on commentary tonight

 

Alicia fox and Naomi were on the WWEs 52 person list for the make your own draft and I looked at them as if I've seen a ghost because it feels like forever since I've seen them

 

Can't wait to see when The Red Queen goes.
