Nia actually wasn't terrible there. Looked a good deal more ferocious than she normally does. Still has a lot of room for improvement, but isn't that what NXT is for?

 

I feel like that match would make more sense if neither guy tried to escape at all because they cared more about beating up the other guy than actually winning the match. Cause there are bits where it certainly feels like that is what they are selling, but then the next minute one of them is trying to escape. just have both of them accept that the cage there to keep the other guy in not for them to get out.

overall a fun takeover though I can't help but feel they oversold the "the end" bit a too much. Their cryptic answers to what "the end" meant, the Triple H Q/A scheduled afterwards, the upcoming brand split... all of made it feel like there would be something that would radically change the landscape of NXT but instead outside of AA losing and then having those guys beat them up... nothing terrible shocking happened

 

Truth as the security guard was good.

 

KO is right on about the crowd and those bozo nerds at NXT shows make it hard for me to even watch most of the time
Show sounded mediocre but I'll have to check it out when I get a chance

 

Try actually dealing with those people in person at NXT shows. Last show I went to I had to turn around and tell this obnoxious asshole to shut the fuck up, stop trying to get yourself over, and watch the match.

That wasn't even the biggest thing that annoyed me at that show, adults blocking little kids from getting autographs with wrestlers so they can post on facebook a selfie they took with some developmental wrestler that hasn't been on tv yet that they've probably never heard of before was. Oh and also creepy older dudes trying to talk to Izzy too. Florida wrestling fans man.

I have a feeling we won't get too much. It sounds like they plan on running the NXT roster until September. That is when we are going to start seeing the fresh crop. Hard to say though. Meltzer is often correct, but it's gonna be speculation until we see it happen.

Makes a lot of sense to have the Old Guard there until SS weekend.

 

I just found out that Jeff Hardy's actual middle name is Nero and it kind of blew my mind, I thought this entire time Matt was just making up some random name he thought sounded cool to call Jeff.

 

Really really hoping we get this next year.

 

I'm probably gonna get shit on for this, and maybe last night was just a bad example, but I wasn't really impressed by Nakamura. Yeah, his theatrics are different and make him interesting, but his move-set seemed very limited last night. He got beat up the majority of the match and the little offense he had was mostly kicking or kneeing over and over.

 

So i know that this is probably the decision that's gonna cost me the championship for MITB but I'm taking Seth for the upset. I personally don't think that's the direction that WWE is gonna go just yet until after Seth's feud with Triple H and face turn at Summerslam but I just cannot find any reason to give Roman my support if he wins. Because even if he wins and I were to have picked him, we still have a WWE champion who isn't good enough to get himself over without the Shield and even me walking away with a championship isn't a good enough consolation prize for that.

 

Good on you, potato. WWE will definitely notice and maybe they'll finally change things up.

 

PPP, WWE creative is hiring.

 

The documentary stuff on the network is just such a step above all of their other original programming.

Rewatching the show from last night and yeah, Full Sail sucks. They started booing and chanting "Aries Sucks" after like 30 seconds of him catching his breath. They should just not do Takeovers there anymore

 

that's actually kinda funny because at the Jacksonville shows i haven't seen much issue with the crowd. I mean there was a kid calling Tucker Knight Y2Obese at one but he was like 13 or something and someone turned around to him and told him to enjoy the show instead of playing some sort of crowd heel. He wasn't really all that annoying afterwards. Maybe the smaller arena means less room for annoying fans though.
