Oh, I know Hunt can end it with one punch, it just seems like people are writing Brock off entirely.

And I totally agree with your WWE booking points. I was just talking purely from a MMA perspective, he can put up a fight and/or win. But yeah, even "putting up a fight" still makes him look bad in WWE terms.

Thoughts on Raw

-Can't overstate how good Jericho's been in this heel run. Outshines anything I can think of him doing in the last 5+ years. He was doing all the little things in this segment, even got the people behind Cesaro when they were being a typical Oklahoma crowd.

-8 minutes into this show and I can tell this crowd is gonna suck. Steph got cheers. That's how bad this crowd sucks.

-I already made this comment live but I'll express the sentiment again: It is so pathetic and sad that they literally cannot have their TOP TWO GUYS on the show because their segments are so bad that they go beyond being unwatchable. The why behind that why is, of course, their rigid ideal of Roman being a top face and to be a top face he needs to be going over a top heel, even if that heel is the hottest guy in the company.

Building off that, remember when every goof in this thread that talked about Rollins coming back as a heel got immediately shot down by someone? Because there's no fucking way a white hot top tier star would ever get booed after being gone for 8 months, right? Especially against the least-over main event guy in years. There was NO WAY they could be that stupid right???? Right???????

-If Bray doesn't get into the MitB match for whatever stupid ass reason, I hope Cesaro wins over KO. Cesaro needs that kayfabe bump much more than Owens and he's the guy I want most in the main event scene.

-Reaction in here seemed pretty lukewarm, but I thought that AJ/Cena segment was shockingly good. Can't wait for one of the greatest matches ever!!!!!!!!!!

-That Steph segment (puke) with Teddy is a microcosm of her entire career. Taking glory for herself at the expense of others. Just look at Charlotte last week.

-Man this Raw went downhill fast after the KO/Dean match. Sasha still off TV because ???????. Becky's hair though, A+.

-Arrow-gigantic. Why isn't Fandango on TV more.

-Hey look, Steph is doing it again. I could honestly set a timer to this every week. It is THE WORST part of the entire product. 1000x worse than Roman's character/booking.

-This New Day/Cena vs Bullet Club really really doesn't totally work, because..... you know.... it's four versus three.

-One last thing. I do not know what the fuck is going on with Bray, so it's hard to lambast them for it, but if it's anything other than "serious injury setback" or "set-in-stone championship feud" it is so dumb for them to hold him off TV and not just give him the briefcase. And please no fucking Wyatt/Lesnar at Summerslam, jesus christ.

The build for Rollins/Reigns is disgustingly bad, hopefully that Ambrose Asylum segment next week changes things (It won't, but it'd be nice if it did)

I thought we all really dug that segment, that and the Breezango clip were the highlights of raw for me. AJ has a swagger as a heel that carries into his promos, he's certainly no world beater still, but he's much better as a heel than a face in that regard.

 

Live Hulu Raw thoughts

- Opening segment is a real weird way to start the show, but its fun. The 7th man will probably win which makes all of this pointless, or it will be Del RIo and we'll have to endure another awful top run of his. Teddy's suit was way too large lol. Steph go away. Forever.

- Never would have expected Cesaro to win as clean as he did against Jericho

- Seth Rollins video package started out heel but turned babyface about halfway through. There's no chance that Rollins isn't the good guy at the show. Gonna be sad when Roman pins him clean

- So Cena cut this same promo when he feuded with Owens last year. Like literally the only thing he;s replacing is "Fight Owens Fight" with "AJ Styles." This match actually has a big fight feel not Roman. AJ is significantly better at being a heel than I would have ever thought. His tone and presence are on point. This is going to be a great few months.

- I like that Teddy only understands creating tag team matches. Steph taking credit was funny, will give that credit

- Del Rio's finish is real fucking dumb

- Roman's video package is good, but I just don't feel anything from him. I'd believe that Seth created pop tarts. Lol at WWE inserting the cheers during the Wrestlemania portion. Wait did Roman just say that after MITB the champion will be The Guy? I already thought Roman was The Guy. Promo got better as it went along, but it won't get the people behind him.

- Owens/Ambrose is good even though I've seen this match 100 times already.

- Skipped over the Women's segment. I happened to catch it on mute where I was at last night and it looked bad.

- Main event segment was weak, but whatever.

 

I'm watching swerved and god damn Truth is awesome.

Yea, I don't really think anyone is saying he has no shot, but like bigmike said it's a really sticky situation for WWE if Brock does anything other than dominate the fight.

 

One of the New Day members leaves the group before MitB, or during the match, i'll call it now. there had to be some foreshadowing during the skit a few weeks ago with Shane and Steph when they were worried about being split between the brands. I feel like they use that for one of them to turn on the others - leaving the group technically still together - while giving one a singles push.

 

also LOL at Cena just annihilating Reigns in his speech.

it's a great line and it's actually true. illogical wwe though, Roman is supposed to be 'the guy' and he just got spoken of like a jobber. loved it.

We haven't seen the Red Queen in a while. I hope she's the one who beats Charlotte.

 

Is Steph heel or face right now? I honestly can't tell. I thought they were trying to make her face but even then it all felt like a big set up by her. And then she has these random heel segments mixed in with the face segments. It doesn't make sense what they're trying to do with her.
