I need to watch more Joshi. The few matches I've seen are so intense.

Takeover is a week from today and its easily the least excited I've ever been for it.

 

Matt Cross is so fucking good.

I'll probably watch LU over Takeover.

 

I want to be excited for Takeover especially to see how NXT handles their first ever cage match but I have so much going on I can't really say I'm going to be watching live or not.

 

That's in Easton, PA right? That's right around my birthday and only a 4 hour drive. Hmmmmm

 

Last year Fenix, Aerostar, and Drago won it. If they are there again, 100% worth it.

 

Evans, Mundo, and Black are a perfect Trios. Absolutely love the dynamic.

 

Cage has improved 1000 fold from what he was last year. Its crazy how good he's gotten.

 

Finally digging into Shoemaker's new wrestling podcast.

Asuka yelling in Japanese is absolutely terrifying. Also the contract signing segment was really well done.

 

Both podcasts are not as good as old Cheap Heat (so far) but that should be fixed when they find permanent cohosts. The Cheap Heat with Goldstein was great

 

Pretty much this. They literally need counterparts who are similar to one another.

 

The end of that episode of Lucha was worse than Roman vs. AJ 2.

 

Yeah I saw their final match with BC. Loved the bit AJ had with the Lucka Ropes.

 

Andrade Almas (Manny Andrade/La Sombre) is debuting on Takeover. Saw this dude in Dallas, absolutely unreal. He and Biff Busick had a 5 minute dark match that was probably the third best match of the night. I fully expected him to debut for the Cruiserweight Classic and win it, but this should be fun.

 

And since we're talking about podcasts let me plug a podcast I found in the ashes of Cheap Heat: We Watch Wrestling. It's 3 stand up comedians with varying levels of fandom (one is a former writer for WWE creative, one is considered the encyclopedia, and one just started watching not too long ago. They're in SoCal so they go to the LU tapings and PWG shows and talk about them a lot (spoilers on PWG if they recently do a show). They talk about all promotions pretty equally. I just really like listening to all three of them just shoot the shit kinda about wrestling.

 

WeWatchWrestling is probably my favorite podcast on Wrestling.

 

I should listen to We Watch Wrestling, have only heard good things. I started listening to the LAW like a week ago and it can get so sad. Same opinion on the Meltzer shows which is why I unsubbed from the Observer

 

I'll check We Watch Wrestling out.

I kind of dig Straight Shoot with Aubrey Sitterson, i just wish he didn't plug his Patreon account and his latest comic book projects every 5 minutes.

 

Finally watched the Rollins doc and it was awesome.

Can't wait to see him in a match. I'm guessing MITB is the first time we see that?

 

Smackdown is live starting July 12, right? They just announced SD in Buffalo on July 26, might pick up some tickets. Kinda wish I had a sense on who'll be on that roster though.

 

Are there really only four matches for takeover? Or is there probably gonna be an opener or two they just haven't announced? Cause the card still needs more No Way Jose and Tye

 

Anyone wanna take bets on how long before the realization that No Way Jose is just another Breeze/Rose/Fandango/Brodus that will disappear as quickly as he's risen?
