If Vince makes AJ champ/face of his company it legitimizes TNA in his eyes. Unless Vince is growing up, I'm telling you there's no chance. At least not in the first year.

There's no chance. Do you guys really think AJ would be in this position if it weren't for the injuries? Come on now.

 

Edge is growing his hair out and it's making me excited even though he's never wrestling again.

 

Champ and face of the company are two different things though. With Cena returning a week after this PPV, and Rollins not long after, AJ being champ would clearly be short-term and wouldnt exactly make him the face of the company.

I dont think its gonna happen, but, if ever there was a time for Roman to lose, its this PPV, cause it'd shake up things a lot. If he wins here, he's retaining to Summerslam and people might start tuning out. I love watching the mid-card stuff, but, i also know none of those are getting elevated this year without more major injuries if Roman keeps the belt, since it'd be Rollins going for it instead

 

Roman's not losing until Summerslam. He never was. That news got leaked like right after WM was over, cmon. And I doubt that has anything to do w/ AJ himself.

 

But the dirt sheets said Vince has bailed on the idea!

I do actually think there's some legitimacy to other wrestlers being frustrated in storylines with him. Gotta be tough to do heel work against him especially

 

If I recall, old dirt sheets used to talk about how Vince hated TNA and especially Jeff Jarrett. He would never mention them on WWE TV either. Even though they were never a threat, I think Vince got pissed when they tried to go straight at him with the Bishoff and Hogan signing. Plus, I doubt Vince likes his look and Southern accent. But I really do wish the best for AJ. He should be world champ.

 

If Vince didn't like his look, he would have changed it. And as it has been said countless times, AJ is not going to be booked like a loser with how much money they're paying him.

He won't make him a loser. Vince knows he's valuable. He just won't be world champ. I'd bet that He'll get an IC title run in the next year or two.
