Try and find a way to watch their yearlong feud in ROH that started at Final Battle 2009 and culminated at Final Battle 2010. It was perfect from top to bottom, and I have no qualms about WWE trying to emulate it as much as they can.

 

I love how much of a centerpiece KO was in the first half of the show. Dude dominated two entire segments and arguably saved the tone of the show after what happened in the first match. He just really knocked it out of the park tonight.

 

The first hour was great, even with Enzo's injury putting a damper on things.

The Divas match was not very good and the screwjob finish was even worse, although lil Naitch working for actual Naitch almost made up for it by itself.

Y2J/Ambrose was fairly boring. I'm not sure why Dean needed the win. McMahons segment was overly long and made no sense. Oh, and it had plenty of Steph being terrible.

The main event was largely a chore. Way way too much stuff going on with not a lot of reason behind it. Could have done without the mcmahons and the Usos. Finish was the ultimate super Roman bullshit. Dude took like five or six finishers and then put AJ down with one spear. Even for a protected move like the spear that was still just insulting.

At the very least though, payback was still much better than WM.

I watched Payback this morning and I've gotta say every time a Divas match is on I have to fast forward it unless Sasha is in it. Outside of Sasha it's hard for me to watch a Divas match.

 

Curious as to why

Honestly, the matches just don't do it for me, I can't tell you why but maybe it's just because Charlotte ruins every match for me

 

Yeah, having Charlotte win with shenanigans every time is starting to move into Rollins level annoying. Being a heel doesn't mean you can't win clean every once in a while. They basically legitimized the division just to ruin it with this stuff. Also, we need more women's matches. They were going strong for a while and then fell apart.

 

Exactly, I mean how is Charlotte supposed to be a credible champion, or how am I supposed to buy into Charlotte if she can't win a match without the help of her father. I feel like they have dropped the ball with Sasha recently, I feel like shes the best thing in the Women's division right now and they aren't giving her much TV time. Paige has completely fallen off too, it's hard for me to be excited for her anymore as well.

 

In fairness to the handling of Charlotte, we had a year of Seth Rollins winning the same way 90% of the time.

Paige is a footnote who is only used in Total Divas stories.

 

While this is true regarding Rollins, and it did it get tiresome but at least J&J were able to make it entertaining. Where as Flair just doesn't offer anything.

Sadly that's the truth about Paige.

 

I'm so done with Flair on TV. I'm also cool with them keeping some distance from Sasha and Charlotte until Summerslam, but Sasha is definitely the future of that division.

 

The "WE WANT SASHA" chant and Char acknowledging it was the best.

 

They're not going to though. If you want to say this will last unti Summerslam, then MAYBE i'd buy into that, but this will not end at Wrestlemania. Their feud in ROH started with a 100% clean victory and squashing from Owens too?

 

Charlotte's still my favorite. Total package. I do agree, that i hate that the WWE thinks a heel needs to win cheap everytime. There's no reason Charlotte couldn't have won that 90% clean against Natalya, especially since she dominated the match anyways.

and yup, I see the WWE is back down to one diva angle per month again. Great wwe.

 

Yea it's completely unheard of for an underdog babyface to come up short against his arch-rival over and over again before he finally gets the big redemption win. How long have you been watching wrestling?

 

Once Charlotte moves away from Flair, I think it'll help a lot. She's actually improved a lot with her ring work, and her heel work has been pretty solid. But they way they book those matches makes her look so weak. The Flair jacket throw over becky one was the worst.

This is the real problem though. We didnt get Becky/Emma. We basically never see anyone but Charlotte on TV. Means she has to carry a division, despite having 3-4 women who could make it far more interesting.

Hopefully they'll get back to that in the build to ER and MITB

until KO and Sami become a face tag, they are gonna be on and off feuding. Thats all they've done since Royal Rumble, and its all they did in NXT. It'll run hot and cold, but it's definitely not gonna be over by WM.

Probably cost each other the IC title. One will cost the other MiTB. Hell, give them captain-ship of Survivor Series teams. That feud should be the feature of the mid-card until one of them becomes WWE champs

No way those two aren't in MitB and no way do they not screw with each other the whole time.

 

Remember when Paige was billed as the anti-diva haha
