domo, cmon. mauro has been the main smackdown announcer for months and has called ppvs. he needs to be in saxton's spot.

 

Enzo and Big Cass killing it! absolutely nailing their promo each week!

 

the vaudevillains are heels without anything that elicits heel heat, i dont know what reaction theyre expected to get.

 

Was at RAW last night, thought it post a few things I took note of and such.

- for some reason Lilian Garcia sang our national anthem which the majority of us have no appreciation for and it was more weird than anything else.

- the pyro is fucking loud.

- crowd popped massively for New Day. Them and Enzo and Cass got the loudest reactions as the crowd went along with their catchphrases. Couldn't even hear Big E during "Aaaaawwwwwwwwww Londonnnnn...."

- saw far, FAR more New Day merch than anything else. Seemed like everyone had a T shirt or unicorn horn.

- reigns got booed heavily, not sure if it got muted for TV. Saw tons of his merch though, mostly on younger fans.

- crowd sang along with Sami Zayn and Fandango's entrance music and it was awesome. Sami had to hesitate before talking because the crowd didn't stop. Think the TV should've caught that.

- big show and big cass are fucking huge. Rusev is also way bigger than I expected.

- dark match was ambrose and AJ vs Owens and Jericho and was decent. They stayed out after and interacted with fans a little. Jericho heeled it up and told a women to put her iPad away cos she'd been on it all night. Told her to "live for the moment" and "take a picture of this" and gave her the finger. Was hilarious.

 

Y2J as a heel is awesome

 

I think i can predict where this tag team tournament is gonna go. Enzo and Cass will almost beat the Vaudevillians before the Dudleyz get involved, just to finally get the Vaudes some heat they will get involved in what will basically be a 4 on 2 mugging, throw Enzo back in the ring, Whirling Dervish, 1-2-3, Vaudevillians go to Payback.

 

Can't remember if I read it here or on wreddit, but someone said Vaudes need a carny barker manager, and I couldn't agree more.

 

Also, because I'm curious and didn't watch Raw, was Zayn/Jericho any different from Smackdown?

 

It would make sense for them to have a manager, especially since with the "silent film" gimmick they have, i wouldn't expect the team themselves to cut a promo.

 

Yeah, problem is, who actually is on the roster that has that look? Adam Rose sort of does if he grew a handlebar mustache. But beyond that, nobody really works. Next closest thing is probably giving Bo Dallas the gimmick and letting him run with it.

 

I mean, who thought this guy could pull off a mountain man/cult leader gimmick?

If the boos were edited, they did very bad job because it sounded loud as hell on TV.

 

Fair. Just thinking its such a specific look...compared to mountain man where laziness can get you to the look.

Yep, this is my biggest problem. If they want to leave Sasha in the background til she takes the title, fine. But, Becky badly needs a few wins. Could be against Emma. Could be against Paige. Anyone.

Instead, we'll get a DQ ending at Payback that features Bret/Flair more than the women. And then finally at Extreme Rules, they'll ban everyone from ringside for the womens title match.

 

My complaint about the Natty vs Charlotte thing currently is it is just a re-hashed storyline from NXT.

 

There's a weird dynamic going on. They introduce NXT guys and expect the audience to know who they are, but then they rip storylines involving NXT guys and gals directly from NXT as if we haven't seen the exact same thing before. They can't seem to make up their mind as to where where NXT truly "fits" inside their universe. Strange times.

 

you may as well turn the belt into some sort of gimmick. Having 2 mid-card belts that mean the exact same thing is ridiculous

and i'm telling you i dont have a problem with the Bret/Flair stuff...Charlotte/Natty stuff. The story of Charlotte eventually dumping her dad is a good one. They're doing a great job with Charlotte in my opinion in building her character.

but in order to really get the ball rolling in this division is to be able to push multiple angles at once.

 

ehh I think NxT isn't mainstream enough where stealing storylines is really going to be all that redundant. I'm not aware of this angle and I'm sure there are millions out there that aren't either.

 

I'm not sure I agree with 'NXT isn't mainstream'. The entire crowd is doing Enzo's intro.

right, they haven't been in a casual city yet, plus while NxT isn't mainstream, there have always been examples of call-ups being well known regardless. Everyone knows who Bailey is. But with that said, things like repeating storylines aren't something the WWE should be too worried about yet

Now that I've had time to digest RAW and we can agree that Anderson and gallows are probably gonna turn on AJ, I'm actually okay with that if they team up with Roman. It would be the turn he desperately needs plus he'd have a mouth piece in Anderson and Gallows for goon size.

Then of course you could have Finn debut and take him out and take over the group if they want to relive Bullet Club.
