Nothing is better/worse than a drunken night that ends up eating terrible breakfast food at a Shoney's. It's a beautiful mess of a place.

I'd prefer it as a signature. It's cool if it gets some wins, but I want the tougher matches (aka PPV's) to be something else that he has to do. Aside from flipping from a standing position, it reads to me to be no worse for the dude taking it than, like, Broadus Clay's running splash. I don't think that should finish people from a guy like Crews.

Do you think Matanza is kind of a boring champ? Nothing about him seems that interesting outside of the initial shock of his arrival. I know that the story to follow will likely be good, but having him in power just seems meh. I don't think we will get particularly exciting matches out of the guy. As much as I love Mil, I just don't see it being great.

 

@Henry its still too early to tell how great of a champion he'll be and I think once we get a clear picture of who the credible threats to him are then he'll be a much more interesting character. His match vs Mil probably won't be an amazing match, but it will be one hell of a spectacle. It will more so be about the future of the temple with Dario and Catrina than any actual beef between Matanza and Mil

I remember eating at Shoney's once when I was down in Tennessee. Don't remember much about it though.

 

This was def a highlight of the NJPW ppv.

I never wanted it to be my “story” and the reason I’m here, but when I was in high school, I had cancer. I had a tumor in my foot and it spread to both my lungs. Surgeries, chemotherapy, all that. I mean, it sucked, it did. But the thing that kept me going and why I knew I had to beat it was to get here. It was like my destiny… In high school, everyone was going away to college to be in frats and party, and I stayed home. I went to community college and I found a wrestling school in Long Island. It didn’t take me 10 years in the indies to get me here, but it did take me 10 years in WWE to get to WrestleMania. So when I got that shot, I made the most of it.
