I have never cried at anything wrestling related. Can totally see myself crying at red faced emotional Kurt Angle.

they're already hyping up Lesnar and Triple H though? And we're in prime Rumble/Mania season...it's at the point where the wwe needs to do things that surprise you and make you MAD that you missed it (so you watch on a weekly basis).

They did it with Shane coming back last year, why not do it now?

 

they didn't do it with shane last year.... in fact, i remember being pissed that I didn't DVR raw that week cause I missed it. It was one of the most shocking moments of 2016 by far and it was because literally, no one saw it coming.

 

That's what I meant lmao. That they surprised us and made us mad last year. I know I would've been pissed had I missed a Kurt Angle appearance/announcement

word. I mean, mad in a good way of course. Angle was the last "big pop shock comeback" guy left.

 

There are plenty left imo. Punk, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Batista... even someone like Cody Rhodes would get a pretty big pop I think. Angle's more likely than any of them, but still

 

Imagine how big of a pop it would be if there's a ppv in Chicago and at the end of the main event, when whoever just won is celebrating, Cult of Personality just starts playing

 

punk is now #1 to me, definitely. Before last year my top 3 were Shane, CM Punk, Angle (in no particular ordeR). The Hardy's have now jumped on board, mostly cause of broken hardy stuff. Ehh not so much on Batista since he was just here and Rhodes would be great, but no where near the level of these other guys. Obviously with punk comes AJ too, so that's awesome too.

At this point, honestly, my #3 might be Paige? With all the crap they've been going through, I would fall out of my chair if Paige ever actually came back.

 

So we have Angle, DDP, Rude. We need a woman, a tag team, a really old guy, and celebrity? I mean, logically Demolition this year, being inducted by New Day, makes insane sense, but we all know that shit ain't happening. And obviously, Chyna too, but again...we all know that shit aint happening

 

I think Punk was No. 1 from the moment he left and it was never close. Especially in a smark crowd. It would be the biggest pop of all time. As great as Shane's was, it wasn't that much bigger than AJ or even Bayley's.

Paige is another good one.

 

Yeah I can't argue with CM Punk. Hearing that cult of personality riff would explode any crowd.

I never knew of AJ's work, so I couldn't get on board, although a year later i'm a HUGE fan and I totally get the hype.

That's easily one of the coolest aspects of NxT, is that it allows those 'OMG LOOK WHO IT IS MOMENTS' to exist, like they used to during the monday night wars. From Bailey to Owens to what will be Nakamura.
