I still think it's a work and Cena is going along with it, but we'll see.

i dont actually buy it either. i think omega is teasing it to make his return in new japan bigger and cena is just having fun. if the rumor of wwe seeing omega/okada and wanting a great match end mania is true they could very easily do something else. my dream scenario would be finn returning to win the rumble and choosing to fight aj because he's already won the universal title. leaves room for a bunch of other major matches to happen and they get their great main

I just listened to Omega on Jr's pod shoot down any idea of being on WWE right now. Completely focused on being an ambassador for NJPW and expanding the brand.

I get that this is mostly me getting worked, but if Omega jumps ship after all the WWE bashing from the last few months, it's kind of a bad look.

How so? In doing that, all he did was raise his stock. The things he said basically assured him big money and title opportunities. We know he is going on his own terms when he does. It will very much be worth it.

How come no one is talking about the fact that when someone is leaving Bullet Club usually... replaces... leadership?
This has not happened with Kenny.

I love when a company's twitter account tweets wrestling shit, DiGiorno's twitter constantly tweets wrestling references

I just don't see Omega leaving yet.

Because he made it sound like WWE is trying to suffocate wrestling by signing up talent for the sake of having them on a leash, and also that he was just getting started in Japan. I get that it's only smart for him to take the best deal on the table but I still think he has to eat some crow for being so vocal. NJPW is getting bent over by giving gaijin these singles pushes only to be bailed on as soon as they fully invest.

If Omega ever does show up in the WWE, I'd expect him to have a lot of sway in what his character is.

Which makes me think that is a few years off still. Definitely think he has to get the IWGP title once before he considers leaving.

Shit, it's gonna be sad when the Young Bucks Superkick Party Adam Cole in a few months.

The craziest thing about Kenny is how much leverage he has in both companies. He and Okada pulled in 100k subscriptions in one day from foreign markets. NJPW better be offering him the world. When they do their US dates, Kenny is 100% the guy who should have the belt. Gonna be a fun few months.

    10k* (still impressive though! Lol)

  16. The RR is going to have a lot of big names in it this year. Seems like a lot more than recent years. Gonna be hard to predict a winner.

I'd be truly shocked if Omega shows up at Royal Rumble. He seems so behind being a star in Japan.

yeah, Omega is not coming to the WWE right now. They havent written him off Bullet Club (Finn got a whole farewell, and AJ obviously got booted). Definitely feels like he's just working his time off.

Would be a HUGE opportunity to build a new young star. Getting 8-10 eliminations and winning over Taker in the final 2 could be massive for someone like Braun or Baron. Or getting sneaky and getting big man eliminations and surviving for Sami.

Instead, it'll probably be Taker winning while the young guys eat early eliminations

Joe coming in and wrecking house to win the Rumble would be great

but at this point I expect Taker for a Cena/Taker main event

which is especially awful, because the same way Cena said "I'm cena, I get a title shot", Taker could do that as well by saying its WM. Neither needs the Rumble at all.

Meltzer says that he's heard Omega is under contract for another year. Thank god

Omega is under contract until the end of January so unless he was released he wouldn't be available to be in the Royal Rumble. Also he's not going to WWE anytime soon and he shouldn't.

Finally watching Omega/Okada. It lived up to the hype holy shit. That end sequence. This is the only match I've seen all year in full and don't know how any will beat it.

Just watched the wrestle kingdom main event and it lived up to the hype. So good.
