You know, they throw in Kalisto and Enzo in but they can't show case American Alpha. So stupid.

 

I wonder how easily better it's going to be once Vince officially leaves, the bar won't be very high.

 

I loved that Rumble match. As Joe has already said, the biggest takeaway is that by putting Reigns in at 30 to put heat on the final four, WWE are at least steering into the hate if not actually pulling the trigger on a heel turn. It's like, oh, two years too late... but they're doing it. I think we got less surprises this year because they wanted to sell out a venue 3x the size of any other Rumble, so better to load the Rumble with big names and advertise them. Orton winning isn't the most exciting, but he has been on fire recently, clearly motivated, and it shows that the title scene on Smackdown is far from stagnant.

I loved the whole show. Reigns/Owens destroyed my expectations, Cena and Styles was the classic we all knew it would be, and the crowd was wild.

 

I'm still surprised that Owens won. I was sure that they were gonna start up that Jericho feud. The friendship lives!

 

Seeing Taker last night, for the first time I thought "ya know maybe it's better that the streak was broken." Seeing him in the shape he was last night, it wouldn't be believable anymore that he can beat anyone on the biggest stage.

I got a notification from PayPal last night too letting me know my payment for WWE Network went through, as if to rub it in.

 

The 2nd half of that Rumble is a little blurry...but Im still laughing this morning at Roman being #30. Not sure there is a funnier/more tone deaf move the WWE could have made

When Roman's music hits tonight, he's gonna get some really loud boos.

Just some random thoughts on the Rumble match

Roman definitely shouldn't have been in but i understand why they did it. Looks like we may be getting Taker vs Roman though.

No Kane in a Rumble match? This is usually his kind of thing
Randy Orton wouldn't exactly be my pick to win, obviously i wanted Y2J or Taker but again, I understand why they did it. Still would've liked Bray winning though since he's kinda the leader of the pack Orton is in.
And finally.....10! 10! 10! 10! 10! holy shit Tye Dillenger was great in that Rumble. I think I'm finally a Tye fan.

Ouy listening to Meltzer talk about all the plans now to set up Mania has me not excited. But when I think about it idk what would of made me happy last night. So fuck it, time to make lemonade, or something like that saying goes. Yah.

 

Just realized I am flying back from Iowa on WM33 day...flight from 7:40 to 9:30. That might save me from having to watch the shitshow go down

 

After last night, I feel even better about having to miss WM for a show.

 

Just realized I dropped $1000 to get to Florida to watch the worst Universal Title match that could ever exist.

 

Let's say the plans are changed and they go with Orton/Cena. Not good either

 

I started watching that and then I saw that for being over 2 minutes that is way too many times

 

Im actually really happy for Bray in all of this. He presumably gets to win at EC and gets to at least co-main event WM. Thats the push we've all been waiting for.

The downside is every other match is screwed as a result. If that Brock/Goldberg thing happens for the Universal title, then Ill be glad to miss WM33

 

So are we getting face bray now? It's kind of crazy that that's the version of him that gets the major push but I guess no one expected mark henrys heel turn to go over so well. Their fault for botching his major heel run.

 

Corbin's elimination of Braun was fucking good though.

 

Reigns v Taker would be so bad

Really at a loss with this company if they think that's a good idea
