I don't think he was ever gonna face Cena. This Orton storyline has to payoff at Mania. And yeah I think Bray having the belt and retaining over the RR winner makes him look stronger than beating an Orton that wins the belt in an 6 man EC match. Debatable though.

 

I did lol when Brock entered at 26 when he was pinned by Goldberg at SS in 1 minute and 26 seconds. Hope that was intentional

 

Oh God and I just remembered the aj vs shane rumor

Damn it was fun to be there in person but that ending made me feel like the whole card was trash. I'm talking myself out of that

 

The WM buildup should be a shit show lol

 

Hopefully we just get another AJ-Cena match

 

Mania is gonna be bad.

 

yeah talk yourself out of it. Cena/Styles was fantastic. Roman/Owens was really good too. Same with Cruiserweight match. And even the Rumble was good until the end.

Still amazing how one moment can completely ruin a show though.

 

The other thing I'm questioning is taking the belt off AJ tonight just to take it back off Cena in a few weeks by giving it to Wyatt. Do you think they really let Wyatt be the guy to do all of that pre-Mania press work that Cena is a master at? We all know the kind of crowd Cena draws at those promotions and press junkets and stuff. Is Wyatt the guy they want doing that? That's why I was thinking it's weird to have him go IN as the champ rather than coming OUT as the champ.

 

I thought it was a great rumble. Undercard was a lot of fun, and honestly this looks like they realize it's time for Reigns to turn heel. He's used to take heat away from Orton, and he's going to be the heel in the Taker feud. Him beating Taker at Mania will get him even more heat. It seems they've finally realized this.

Also Wyatt winning at EC and retaining at Mania. They might finally realize it's time to make a new star.

 

I don't think that rumble was that good...yes the reigns thing is clouding my judgment but looking back...what were the moments. Corbin dumping strowman?

 

Come on guys, Vince can have Cena as champ going into WM or Bray Wyatt. Do you REALLY think he's gonna have Cena drop the belt? I'll eat it if I'm wrong, but I'd say that is a long shot.

but yeah, it was weak on memorable moments.

 

I'm just thinking about how easy it would have been to have Kurt Angle enter to a massive pop, he's involved in one or two spots, lies around like Jericho did, and then goes face to face with Lesnar, someone he has a personal and professional history with, and then Lesnar eliminates him. That would take no effort at all and would be a memorable moment for the crowd.

 

This was gqtbage, no other explanation

 

At least I won $70 in my rumble pool by pulling #23.

Also 5Dimes had him as the favorite before the match..

Honestly thought it was the best Rumble in years. I had a great time watching it. No surprises was a bummer, but overall it was good

I feel like it's incredibly unlikely that Cena beating Ric Flair's record doesn't get worked into a Mania storyline somehow
