    SEMANTICS

The intro to 205 live is like 45 minutes long. They recap like six weeks worth of shows. Rly annoying.

205 Live is so forgettable that I didn't realize I was watching an episode from two weeks ago.

I'm bored, so humour me... If Vince was to pass away and Trips took full control, could you see him opening up dialogue with New Japan for possible joint shows similar to what they do with ROH? And why yes/no?

No, because they are a legit competitor to the US market. HHH is fine working with other promos, but thats in service of recruiting, building talent, etc.

Though maybe they dont see NJPW as a threat. Seeing as they'll mention the IWGP titles for guys, but they wont really mention TNA or ROH championships for their roster (and id say making KO, Roode, etc as NXT champs was part of erasing that too)

I don't think there is a company in the world that has enough characters that it could get an entire program over. They are going to have their fans over here, but I think they are always going to be supplemental. I don't think WWE is losing droves of fans to watch Tomohiro Ishii vs. Bad Luck Fale. The language barrier is going to be a huge hurdle. If they can pay guys to stay with the company after getting over, they could be huge, but most gaijin are going to jump ship for WWE contracts.

Which means get ready for the greatest title reign of all when Juice comes back

That's a big problem I have. Japanese fans are willing to accept him as a contender, but I don't think most people in the US think much of him. He's definitely pegged for a run, I just can't think of which belt. I don't think he could lead the way with the US title, but even that feels kind of squandered so far. The down time after G1 is putting a real hinder on the power that belt could have.

I think that he'd be in a position like Tye is right now, maybe slightly elevated. He's definitely improved since his NXT days, which was his intention when he left the company, but I disagree with you about the US title, I think he'd be decent with it. Who knows though, maybe NJPW will throw one of their lower belts on him for a bit and see where he goes with it

I'm still surprised Juice has done so well after his NXT run. Never saw him doing anywhere near as well as he's done in New Japan. Fair play to the guy. Him and Callihan have done the right thing since leaving.

My biggest beef with Callihan in NXT was that god awful finisher he had, that shit was dumb

Not sure if I can even remember it, he was only there for what seemed like 5 minutes.

I believe this is what he used, think he had a submission too.

    This bums me out

A conversation he had with Triple H after a match with Apollo Crews:

"I remember before the match Apollo goes, 'do you tonight. If we get in trouble I'll take the blame.' I remember getting pulled to the back from HHH and he was like, 'where has this guy been for the last year.' I kinda had to bite my tongue, but lucky enough people like Norman Smiley and Billy Gunn straight up came up to him and was like, 'this is the guy that's been main eventing a lot of your house shows against Finn Balor and Kevin Owens and having killer matches, but then it comes to TV and you book him like a jobber.'"

That hurts, because I always thought NXT did a pretty good job turning some jobbers into contenders, like Blake & Murphy, would he had won the NXT belt? Maybe, maybe not, but he could had been an absolute threat of a contender if they didn't book him like shit

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

They literally did every single thing wrong with Callihan that they could in NXT

Callihan always struck me as the kind of guy who could work wonders with a secondary title in NXT.

Solomon Crowe was my least favorite NXT wrestler ever. Sami Callihan is my favorite wrestler in the world.

Actually forgot his NXT name too. I remember being really hyped about him too.

I have no idea what direction NJPW takes with him. Hopefully he can be his crazy self.

I am so fucking jealous of anyone who gets to see AAW. Their title scene is incredible.

I think this is part of why he failed in NXT (when he was there it wasnt a world where AOP, Sanity, Black, etc existed), and why he'd fail on the WWE roster. His character works way better in a much darker world, which is why LU is so perfect.
