New era but the same 5 guys in the main event

 

while watching snme and seeing Cody come out for the opener, i could not remember who had the WHC. tried to pull it until the bell, couldn't, and was too deep in multitasking to google. it wasn't until Punk came out after Cena's match that i remembered he had it. can't believe how fast Punk went from a pipedream to just a regular part of a really boring era of Raw.

 

All these comments since the final Cena match and no one saying they shed a tear at the end? I have no problem admitting it was bitter sweet and beautiful and my wife looked at me and asked if I was crying. Yup, you just dont get it.

unfortunately! the wwe is an exceptionally shitty wrestling company that's deep in bed with the shitty government and the saudis so, who gives a shit

 

Part of it is they didnt let anything breathe. Cena got like 30s on his own in the middle of the ring, and then the entire roster was there and a video was playing and Cena/Punk where there. Reminded me a bit of the Sasha/Bayley iron woman match where they basically broke kayfabe and had them celebrate together with flowers in the ring for the first womens main event.

Or go the full heel route, Gunther refuses to let Cena's hand drop the 3rd time (basically visually showing Cena had passed out), and Gunther just keeps savaging him and demanding Cena tap rather than pass out. Go to the point the crowd is getting agitated/uncomfortable then do that Cena soft tap cause he knows he's toast.

They started getting there in the final 30s; but because it came so quickly after a Cena mini rally, it just didnt quite hit right

collision has been good lately bc of the continental classic, i hope he keeps that same energy into the new year bc when collision has no stakes it is so god damn forgettable. looking fwd to dynamite this week

 

i watched cena's last match and that finish was flat as hell, sadly i don't think any wwe fan in that building was gonna be happy with any kind of loss outcome so honestly props to them for just having cena tap lol

 

as a closet "i love when it looks real" type, i loved everything about the final stretch but the final grin. even considering the grin, Cena has always been a campy geek so i cant really care. def gonna suck for Gunthers half of the highlight reel tho lol

 

I saw something on Reddit that said the Usos vs New Day is a match on Raw tonight and lol at doing that for the 75,842 time and pairing that with Triple H’s “new era” monthly comment is *chef’s kiss*

 

And both teams are dramatically diminished from where they were during that endless spree of matches. New Day hasnt won a match since they lost the belts like 6 months ago.
