Extending the contract of someone you’re not going to use is crazy.

 

Yeah that sucks

 

Mother fuckers just made happy birthday posts to him the other day too..lame.

 

Extending any contract for injury is still the most absurd practice in wrestling. No other sport does it. And its not like a TV show or movie makes people do a sequel cause they got hurt filming the first one.

 

Major bummer. Would love to see Danhausen back on TV.

 

Imagine having the instant pop that is danhausen and not using him every week in some capacity.

 

Remember when he popped up at Final Battle last year, got a huge pop and then was never seen again?

Makes no sense. Throw him with the Conglomeration or something. I'm sure there's plenty of ways to get him involved all across the board.

 

Someone on Reddit mentioned that he has *allegedly* had opportunities to work ROH and/or collision but Danhausen wants to be on tv but also doesn’t want to work Saturdays since he does Indy bookings and cons and stuff

idk, I don’t personally care if I see him back on tv again but there’s no way to justify extending someone’s contract like that

 

Actually, Danhausen has stated the Collision thing directly (but family stuff, he's got a kid and also his wife just gave birth to their kid?). Though you'd think he'd be a perfect guy for ROH since it has plenty of goofy stuff and gets taped as dark matches to AEW shows (and I know one of his complaints was if you get booked every 2-3 months, having a match sucks because your body isnt prepped for it vs working regularly).

Id also be shocked if being friends with Punk isnt a factor, since that did in a few others

 

On one hand, he just had a baby and not being on TV is probably best for bonding and collecting a check, but for a guy who has been on the indies forever, he’d probably rather be actually performing.

Give the guy a talk show or something. Let him co-host with RJ City or put him on commentary. Hell, let him revert to his Donovan Danhausen heel gimmick. SOMETHING.

 

This was also my first thought but FTR are getting booked and pushed so maybe it's something else. We never really know the full picture so I hold my judgment.

 

But overall yeah, extending a contract for someone you are not going to use is scummy

 

With all that being said, I wish my job would pay me to stay home and have no plans for me. I would love that.

 

I can see myself in this situation telling myself that I can finally get healthier, take care of my broken body, go to the gym and be better in general... But in reality I'll just sit on the couch, eat a whole pizza and wither away

 

110% but I can only imagine all the TV shows and movies I’d be able to catch up on, not to mention the sleep!

 

I always assumed that someone in the back had issues with him because it makes zero fucking sense to do nothing with him. Fucker basically prints money.

danhausen contract thing is lame

let him go so he can enjoy nxt and ppl who like him can watch him

 

AEW tries so hard to not be WWE and yet
