I'm thinking most of the old events are just gonna end up on YouTube. They've been slowly uploading full events to Vault, WCW channel, NXT channel, etc. Might even see an ECW channel down the line.

They would probably make more money off the ad revenues this way.

 

This is a feature, not a bug, btw. Its the state goal of TKO to be across every platform to block off competitors. Its why I'd be shocked if TNA doesnt end up with some sort of cable deal that involves them moving to Wednesdays. WWE will basically negotiate the thing for them

I'm not finding that in any press release but I do remember that being stated.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a recent tweet from Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh announced a "giant entertainment event" for 2027, fueling speculation that it is WrestleMania. Meltzer notes it would be the "most lucrative WrestleMania in history," with a push inside the country for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to headline. The news follows past discussions of WWE potentially holding two WrestleMania events in one year to accommodate an international show, for which London is also a contender.

 

Can’t imagine being one of the many laid-off WWE employees reading that about Brock.

 

This just has Greatest Royal Rumble vibes to it. You can’t have two Wrestlemanias in one year and expect them to be treated the same, just like you can’t have something like two Super Bowls. But it does follow TKO’s plan to make as much money and water the brand down to the point where nothing has any significance as long as the checks clear.

 

I could see them having it on a weekend with one day in Saudi, the other elsewhere. Still just as stupid and sucking that blood money dick.

 

This is actually the least surprising thing to me.

 

In all this commotion with TKO moving to an ESPN platform, I just really hope Peacock doesn't remove the old ECW and WCW catalog. I very much enjoy going back and watching those from time to time.
