Meltzer and Alvarez were raving about the actual match before Lesnar came out. Alvarez said it was Cena's best match in over a decade. Sounds like it's going to get 5 Stars.

 

The match itself before the lesnar bs was pretty good. Overuse of finishers and pins but it was a fun one

 

If you still continue to watch WWE, you’re in full blown denial of just how depraved, fascist and vile they are. Plenty of folks have some internal reflection to do, but I mean, everyone in power there are all MAGA fucks, so Idiocracy rules their lives I guess.

Just so god damn thankful there are healthier and more productive uses of time in the pro wrestling world than WWE.

Anyway, glad AEW exists. Not a perfect company, but way more enjoyable and way less vile. Hopefully they keep putting out great content and capitalize on a lot of people washing their hands with WWE.

 

Even if Brock wasn’t problematic or if it was someone else… why do that lazy face turn before the match? Cena could have slowly turned face during the match itself, gained respect for Cody, shook his hand or hugged after the match, and then the attack would have cemented the face turn. But even then why not do the return attack on Raw or Smackdown. Have Cena come into that show as the returning face only to get beat down.

 

All for that cheap pop and viral moment baby. They genuinely don't care about anything past that.

Correct. Cena has always been scummy. He got more vocal about VKM and refuses to speak ill of him. It’s quite disappointing. A person can do wonderful charity work and also be a giant bag of dicks.

Not to drag other people into this and lose the plot but when Ric Flair randomly showed up in AEW and people were pissed at TK it’s like… did no one think that Sting probably asked/demanded Ric to be there since it was leading to his retirement? Sting should have gotten shit for that (and maybe he did idk). When people have as much pull as Cena, Sting, etc. they’re very much apart of the talks and plans and just as much to blame as management.

for Cena, gotta imagine that if he didn’t want Lesnar back (or at least not back and feuding with him) he wouldn’t have been brought back
