Hey, at least we’re getting Orton & Jelly Roll against Drew and Logan Paul at Summerslam.

Just writing that made me nauseous.

    Takeaways from what I missed

    - Nick Wayne with Stokely is smart if they're making them a stable. He's got potential to break out like Fletcher did this past year. E&C is something they'd be smart to drag out into next year...make Christian actually earn his face turn. Maybe run a Bucks/FTR/E&C TLC match at All In 2026.

    - Toni's entrance was so deranged. Her work during the match was deranged. Mercedes somehow got to her level of absurd. Unsurprisingly, the match ruled. Avalanche Storm Zero is an all-time fucked spot.

    - Omega entrance ruled. Those two are the kings of physical wars and pacing spots. Wish Callis wasnt as involved in that match as he was...like literally into the ring in the final spot. But match still ruled, just not quite up to the prior couple. Reminded me a bit of Ospreay/Ricochet where the times they tried to match their past, it didnt quite click (since, you know, that was 7 years ago)

-Hangman live theme was sick as hell. Perfect transition to bringing back his main theme. Crowd popped like they were seeing Okada go from pants to trunks. Glad the rest of the show was (mostly) bloodless so this match could just be sicko shit. No tie ups. No chain wrestling. Just endless weapon shit. Best Mox has been during this run too...he looked like a killer.

The stretcher spots were a bit much...both for Joe and Ospreay...but Darby doing a promo from atop Everest is truly epic. The sequence that followed was an all-timer. The Nana reveal was spectacular. Shed a tear when Swerve tossed the chain into the ring. Mox is a sicko for doing the bed of nails buckshot too, and sold that finish like death.

Kinda wild to think that the weak part in the big 4 matches were Okada/Omega, but damn what a PPV

They also now get to run the MJF/Hangman feud they should have run back in 2022 instead of putting the belt on Punk

Also, tapping out to end Texas Death (or any LMS type match) is so meaningful because it so rarely happens. They always kind of end on a slight whimper cause theres a 10 count after the spot...the pop just isnt as big...whereas here it was massive

You know, I get that it’s Texas and all, but there’s no reason for Dustin Rhodes to hold the ROH tag titles, the ROH six man titles, and now the AEW TNT title on a roster that large.

He’ll probably lose it pretty soon and made an epic crowd moment for an underrated and under appreciated legend even if fletcher should have won for Logic

  19. Last night was one of their best shows since starting the company. And I think we’ll start getting more moments like that since the company actually has some history now. People always wanting long term storytelling from a baby company is weird. It’ll come. Just give it time.

All the run-ins made sense. And were executed perfectly. Enjoyed it so much more than Cody’s night at WM.

I’m guessing Hangman gets a long-ish reign. So I think we’ll see MJF drag out his future title shot and be super annoying like he’s a pro at doing. They finally have a match several months down the road. And it’ll rule.

Is there a debut or return that we’re expecting any time soon that’d make sense to take the belt of Rhodes this Wednesday?

Nah I think it’ll still get to Fletcher quickly

  21. Jay White is the guy that comes to mind. I think we could see him return very soon but just maybe not for the TNT title.

  22. I’d imagine Jay White, Jack Perry, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston, Buddy Matthews are all guys we should hopefully see soon, right?

    OC is probably far out.

My based god Bryan Alvarez mentioned that the last 40 min of the SNME show was changed dramatically as a result of the Rollins injury. He doesn't know exactly what was supposed to happen but speculates a cash in.

  24. Hate it for Rollins. He is one of the few guys carrying the company. If he’s out long term they’re in a really tough spot.

And I hate saying this, not trying to make light of the situation. But part of this feels like karma from always trying to arrogantly double book and steal the show from AEW.

SRS just confirmed Cole was concussed by Fletcher. Makes me wonder if the kick in the balls spot for Fletcher was Fletcher’s idea. Maybe he felt super bad or something.
