there’s no great reports so far but someone mentioned he was originally cast for Blanka and then moved to Akuma after Momoa joined the cast.

Idk. Maybe if they prosthetic his ass up a ton they can achieve SF6 Akuma but my hopes are in the dirt

 

When they had their stare down they made the camera angle such that the big "ALL IN" banner was centered between them in the background, which I gotta imagine is AEW's version of pointing at the WM sign.

Doubt its the main event though, as either Hangman/Mox or Ospreay/Mox would still have the juice to main over it.

 

Honestly, the overall AEW worldbuilding has been amazing. Couple of the matches are a little odder (Hurt Syndicate v Dusty/Sammy is kinda random since the whole story has been HS + MJF...Ricochet/Briscoe is more about Ricochet stealing Zach Gowans leg), but, its a lot closer to the Revolution build than the Dynasty build in terms of being multi-month stories playing out

 

He'd be an even worse Blanka! Keep him AND Momoa away from this movie.
