It took Gunther 5 minutes longer to beat Pat than it did for Dom to beat Penta...now, Im sure Gunther spent most of the match just fucking around to beat up Pat, but, still, seems odd not to give the match with the two best workers more time.

 

I just keep comparing it to the match of Hendry/Orton at Mania that got 5 minutes but everyone keeps saying wasn't a burial.

Pat went longer than a champion at another company, and the Gunther toying with him thing doesn't really explain it because Pat had like 5 genuine comebacks lol

 

I missed Backlash. Anything worth checking out?

 

Huh I thought Becky and Lyra was the match of the night.

Becky/Lyra was pretty great imo. I loved the finish. Old school wrestling

 

But Backlash had total house show vibes though

 

i giggle a little inside at every rko because the dumbest thing wrestling fans ever did was speculate Orton would return w a new finish because he was simultaneously healthy enough to wrestle but his back would explode if he ever gave another RKO... the most controlled back bump like ever

 

i kinda liked Gunther/McAfee, that was the best Pat has looked in a match, i was pretty impressed by how good his shit looked. whole show was a bit of a pleasant surprise

 

RIP Sabu

 

What the fuck?? Terrible. At least he got one last good match beforehand.

 

Crazy that he passes away less than a month after his last match. Was one of my favorite wrestlers to watch growing up. Always did the craziest shit and I loved how chaotic his matches often were.

 

Sabu's influence on wrestling is as crazy as he was. RIP

 

Dude was so influential that we use his name as a verb for throwing a chair at someone's head. That's legend shit right there.

 

Sabu’s leg drop onto Cena through the announce table is one of my favorite moments of all time

one of my all time favorites , a true legend who’s DNA is apart of this sport

 

We need more banter like this with the wrestlers interacting with each other from different companies. It’s fun

 

Wwe need to be giving these guys their flowers and hall of fame stuff BEFORE THEY FUCKING DIE
