As much as it sucks to see people released outside of one or two people they were people who didn’t bring much to the table or it it didn’t click. But I will say though I’ve been slowly checking out with WWE because TKO is killing something I truly loved. It sucks man.

 

Watching SD. Just had an advert for Evolve. Featured two of the NXT guys who had been released hours before

Seems like the writing was on the wall for someone like Shotzi/Gigi. They clearly weren’t seen as main event talent and they have so many women in the pipeline in developmental. Then factor in Guilia and Stephanie and it’s like what were they going to do.

 

I wonder at what point it actually hits the talent that working for AEW (where they generally honor your full contract) is better than WWE (where you can get cut whenever).

Especially now that WWE doesn't do house shows en masse and they need like 60% the roster size as 5 years ago

 

Yeah this is exactly how it works to my understanding. If you are cut, it’s basically a 90 day window where you are getting paid.

Some differences as of late are some people are informed they won’t be renewed vs a regular cut, and I think NXT contracts are a smaller window, I think 30 days.

but in general if you are cut during your main roster contract, you are getting paid for 90 days and then can go wherever. I am not totally sure, but I think you can go somewhere before then, but you are the forgoing your 90 days of pay.

that’s at least my understanding. You get paid for 90 days where you can have discussions, start getting bookings, etc.

 

I hope Nakamura goes back to NJPW eventually TBH especially with Naito gone

 

I legit think between the main and ROH, a lot of the cuts would be great pickups for Tony

 

Yup and it’s pretty clear HBK liked Gigi but it clearly didn’t work

 

Would they even gain much traction though on the main roster ? Aew is loaded as well

 

I think Dakota, Shayna, and Braun would all be fantastic pickups for the AEW main specifically.

I could also see Gigi, Thorpe, and Gallus as well.

 

Please no Braun in AEW. Shayna and Dakota would be great.

 

The women's division in both AEW and ROH can be added to.


Plz bring Shotzi and Cora especially.

 

Honestly Dakota is the only one I see doing anything imo

 

Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t get the Shotzi love, cool look but nothing special in the ring

 

Gallas has “occasional enhancement talent in ROH” written all over it. If they stay in the US, they’ll probably come back to the UK and do Progress/ICW

This is the part I dont believe is true; or at least, Ive literally never seen it play out. Like, surely Malakai would have shown up in AEW immediately after his notification otherwise...but it was Day 31 when he popped up on Dynamite (because he was inexplicably still on an NXT deal). Like surely Dolph (who asked for his release) would have popped up on TNA and NJPW before WK and Final Resolution (rather than in mid-January for both) if he could have gotten out before 90 days.

Just seems to be a "90 days from now you'll be out of your contract" kind of deal. And I think thats because their prior non-competes (90 days no pay) wouldnt have held up
