I thought Copeland's promo was good in a vacuum, especially him dogging the tribalism, but bad to put on television in that spot. Felt like something you do on the Internet instead, if at all. AEW has been on such a role lately that acknowledging Punk's comments at all seemed like an admission of insecurity. Just go out and have your show. Be confident in the product you're presenting, because it's been really good! Just had real "stand up for WWE" vibes to me.

I honestly don’t get why they would put over WWE in that regard because it was super weird

 

Yeah I had no problem with what Adam said because it’s true but it wasn’t necessary. The more attention they draw to Punk, the more drama surrounds everyone.

Also not the best show to have such a promo and then have that match with Jay White and Billy Gunn.

That stood out to me, too. Having Gunn basically squash Jay White for 15 minutes and then win by DQ is not something you want to put out there when you're opening your show with "we're really great and we make wrestling better."

The truth is, they do. But, they literally handed fodder for the opposition on a silver platter.

I know the argument in favor of Priest is that there's been a lot of failed cash ins lately, but to me, that is not a good enough reason to sacrifice the integrity of one of your World Titles (especially Seth's.) Dude just isn't a main event guy.

 

MITB is outdated and they should get rid of it

 

TK announced that Anthony Henry will be back after he recovers from injury which is a a nice change of heart. It also looks like The Boys no showed several shows which is why they were let go. Makes the decisions a little better even though it still sucks.

 

I would be for a MITB respite.

...Which would allow them to bring back a proper King of the Ring with a title shot awaiting the winner (no garbage king/queen gimmicks.)

The reason they dumped that show was because Vince didn't like not being able to promote matches on PPV. That isn't a problem anymore.

for serious i think it just needs to be put in the hands of someone who should, like, win a world title. if its no longer an effective star making vehicle, then fuckin put it on a Randy Orton and if nothing else you have a break in case of emergency for when you need to get the belt off someone
