This is over a month from now... Last time Dynamite was in Chicago they sold like 2K in the last 2-3 days. It's the same pattern, people jump on it 2-3 days before the show when the prices drop.

I just wish WWE had their own damn network again.

as for Aew ads, I remember getting a shitload for Collision when it was here but I’m sure that’s all targeted. Didn’t really see much beyond that in terms of general ads. So of course if you’re just doing that then you’re only going to sell to whoever was already most likely to go. I had talked with a coworker that’s into wrestling if he was gonna go and he had no idea they were even coming.

I remember I had jokingly said Rock was gonna buy WWE when all the sale rumors were popping up. Guess I wasn’t too far out of the ballpark.

unfortunately they're running in a lot of other markets that aren't chicago and end up with bad attendance

Netflix deal is wild. It’ll be nice to be able to cancel Peacock and I already pay for Netflix so that’s pretty cool. I do feel like Netflix could be overpaying, but they needed to do something to keep up with MAX/Prime getting into live sports. I would not be surprised if they try to bid on UFC when their deal comes up.

I only mentioned Chicago because I was at that show. It's happening everywhere, not just there.

right and I'm saying AEW can't rely on 2k ticket sales a day or 2 before the show if the most tickets they're selling total in a lot of places is 2-3k

Yeah, it's obvious they need to change the way they are selling tickets ASAP. I fell for it twice a couple of years ago. Since then I only buy the same day when 80 dollar tickets become 20 dollars.

won't the PPVs still be on Peacock? Seems like in the US the netflix deal is only for RAW and Peacock has the PPVs until 2026

  14. PPVs stay on peacock until their deal is up then everything transfers to Netflix according to Dave

  18. I do appreciate that only 7 people are announced the men’s rumble and 4 for the women’s rumble

They had a couple years there where they announced like 25 of the 30

Definitely glad they haven’t announced a majority of the rumble participants. Makes the rumble seem unpredictable even if it’s highly predictable. This is probably the most interesting the rumble has been in 10+ years. I’m very excited for Saturday.

With all the news today, I completely missed this. Not surprising tbf, he was always a little bland and stood out like a sore thumb. Like he wasn’t supposed to be there.

AEW definitely needs to figure out the live events. Fans are catching on to prices falling for the weekly shows and get cheap tickets last minute. It’ll take drawing bigger crowds consistently to fix that. I can go to an AEW show for cheaper than a Prestige show. They should not be pricing 100-200 level tickets at prices lower than an indie show.

Thank god. They can do so much better. Give any generic announcer a chance and they will certainly do just as good of a job.

Let Vic do SD and get someone new to do NXT. Apparently the guy doing Level Up is quite good.
