I still randomly think at least once a week about that picture during Trump’s first reign of terror of him, Linda, Vince, Shane, Stephanie and Triple H in the Oval Office and a top comment at the time was, “everyone in this picture has received a stone cold stunner”.

 

I’m not sure why people are shocked by this. You could see it a million miles away and sadly he’s not the only one in the industry whom thinks this way.

 

No one should be shocked but we should all maybe really examine how the media/entertainment we consume might be enabling fascism. It’s here, anyone who props it up is alarming and it should be treated as alarming.

 

Yeah if Trump shows up at Mania in any capacity that’ll be the final nail for me.

I would absolutely pop for Chelsea getting 3 minutes and a microphone to get heat and Twin Magic’d by a returning Bellas.

 

Two points:

1. He's more popular today than he was at any moment of the pandemic, by approval ratings. He was sub 40% most of COVID, and is in the 45-47% range today.

2. He's attended a TON of UFC events in the last year. Did a walkout just this past weekend. Went to the Super Bowl, where no President has gone. He's made the "bro" side of things, and really the "Im a part of culture" thing a much bigger part of his presidency than last time. In a way, showing up to Wrestlemania (especially in Vegas) is the peak of his image.

It'd be an insanely bad move for WWE to do so, precisely because they probably got back a bunch of apolitical and liberal people post-Vince who couldnt stand his politics...but, this is the same company that sold out to TKO and does Saudi shows...so.

 

There's a little part of me also dying laughing inside at Punk main eventing the Mania where Trump guest stars.
