I mean purely from a moveset - there's a top 21 moves of OC on Youtube and half of them are him putting his hands in his pockets or doing the lazy kicks/chops. OC can wrestle for sure, but his presentation is being lazy and it's SUPPOSED to look ineffective. Darby is throwing punches and kicks like he's trying and it looks like when a little brother swings wildly at you and the big brother just puts his hand on the kid's forehead to hold him back. Without a weapon or gimmick spot, Darby is Marko Stunt.

 

I’d prefer Mox loses the title and goes to do hardcore feuds which is what a lot of his style is now days. His style is too slow/plodding for the main event with guys like Osperay/Swerve etc who can run circles around him. The match last night was alright but the first 2/3 had me almost falling asleep.

 

Mox needs to go away for a few months and come back and do some blood feuds for sure. Bring back Eddie to put him in the dirt for a few months

I stopped watching AEW a long time ago at this point so mainly what I know of it is from this thread. It’s pretty interesting to see everyone has soured on Mox. I mean I’m sure it’s well deserved and you guys are right. But it’s just kind of funny because over the last several years opinion of him has been a roller coaster in here

 

I like Mox A LOT but his booking has been so so bad the last 6/7 months with this death riders angle. it all just seems so aimless, and as someone in here mentioned last night, the matches all have roman booking - tons of interference

 

I just don’t think Mox is very good imo, dude is a one trick pony. I watched last night and enjoyed bits and pieces

Since leaving WWE, he had the best character in wrestling...or at least the most consistently/most well thought out motivations...both as a heel and face. Even the earliest bits of this heel turn could have worked because it fit that character, but then it kind of went off the cliff.

And the problem is, now there's a half dozen more compelling characters. Swerve/Hangman are doing more interesting work. Ospreay is on fire. MVP is presenting a more cohesive vision. And then of course, there's what Toni is doing.

The Punk stuff probably hurt him the most because both times he got placed back as champ and never had time to go away for a bit and reset.

 

Gotta figure out the whole MJF thing too

 

Thought Dynasty was a really good show from a wrestling perspective and held back by more baffling/bad booking/story-telling. Kind of par for the course with AEW these days, as far as I'm concerned.

The Jericho/Bandido finish was just insane dog shit, and I'm completely checked out on these WWE style INTERFERENCE INTERFERENCE REF BUMP SWERVE main events. I thought Mox/Swerve was really good up to that point, but then they just completely lost me.

 

Could see MJF being the one that costs Swerve/HB the match...since he also interfered in a way that Lashley clearly didnt like at the PPV. Could easily set up a Lashley/MJF feud or Swerve/MJF feud too

 

Saw a post on FB about it - apparently Chad Gable is doing signings for Hogan's beer.

 

Just finished watching last nights PPV, fun show! Triple threat was awesome and teasing Okada/Omega is perfect for what I imagine will be the main event at All In? Ospreay has to win the tourny and win the belt at All in as well.

My boys the Bucks are back, same shitty gimmick it looks like but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

 

nah I think whatever the world title feud is will headline all in

obv the okada/omega match will be sick as hell and a big deal but I think All In especially will be a "look at the stars of the future" kinda thing

 

Someone on Bluesky said Moxley's wrestling is made for 8-9 pm, not 11 at night when the audience is already burned out from the rest of the card and I'm not sure if I could put it any better.

The quasi-main event scene with Omega, Ospreay, Fletcher, etc. is doing enough to keep fans into the rest of the show but they got to take the belt off the Death Riders albatross & everything else will fall into place.

 

Really solid show. Triple threat is a moty contender. Ending was just more of the same Death Riders shit with the Bucks tacked on

 

I wonder if we really get Hangman/Swerve vs the Bucks and Cope/Cage vs FTR out of this like a ton of people on Twitter keep saying. I think both matches have potential.

 

Open the show with Omega/Okada let’s get nuts

 

As intrigued by I am by Omega/Okada under the AEW banner, my first thought when the coin drop hit was "THEY'RE GOING TO UNIFY THE BELTS THANK GOD."

 

Just watched Kenny/Speedball/Ricochet and my god what a fucking match! So many spots popped me. Double snapdragons, the double knees from Bailey to a stacked Kenny/Ricochet, and of course the filthy finisher from Kenny. What a OWA. I’m amazed.

I’m so happy with Ricochet in AEW. Finally has a good character with some story. And just give me Speedball vs everyone in the next CC.

Also, Okada/Omega will go down as my favorite ongoing feud until Swerve/Hangman surpasses it one day.

 

Breakker vs Penta vs Dom vs Balor announced for Mania hopefully this is where JD splits lol

 

Dom should win the title
