Charlotte has always been terrible on the mic but I’ll disagree that she was always a bad wrestler. She held her own her first few years and yes she’s very matchup dependent more so now. The division has moved past her now and she’s not really needed. So if she’s not gonna play ball and put people over then why is she even there

 

Yep, almost the exact same situation as Britt in AEW; there was a time they were critical, and then everyone else surpassed them because they didn't evolve in any way as characters or workers, and once the mystique of being important goes away, you just have a pain in the ass to deal with who might wreck a segment with no notice.

 

It’s gonna be hilarious if WWE signs Britt

 

Charlotte has wrestling skill/talent but I’m not sure she has evolved over the last 3-4 years? Maybe longer?

Also doesn’t help she can’t be a face.

Also doesn’t help she has hasn’t improved on the mic.

Also doesn’t help she always has to be in the title picture (can’t remember if it was posted here or elsewhere that all (but maybe 1?) of her Mania matches have been as champion or challenger for the title.

She’s really boxed herself into a corner and unless she changes as a person it’s not gonna get better and I hope Trips/leadership can have enough of a spine to realize they don’t need her / should stop putting her in high profile spots constantly.

 

I’d want this only to put them in a feud against each other. Then they can tag team, I bet they’d be a fun tag team

 

She's basically Dolph Ziggler pre-Miz feud; except instead of being booked to lose to every top card guy and lose 50% of her midcard stuff, she gets Goldberg level booking

 

On paper, this is one of the softest cards AEW has produced (all the Owen stuff should be on Dynamite, honestly), but, gonna be at least 3-4 matches that rule

 

I kind of agree. It feels kind of like Wrestledream where a lot of the card was predictable or thrown together, but it was still a very strong show with a hot main event.

I don’t mind having the Owen match on the card as Osperay/Knight will hopefully be much better than a standard TV match. I just wish Mercedes had a different opponent than Julia.

 

Excited for tonight, but the tag team scene needs some juice. Hurt Syndicate has no relevant competition and facing Outrunners/Learning Tree doesn’t do anything for me. It’s really the biggest glaring weakness for AEW right now and reminds me of the mid 2000 WWE tag team scene which sucked.

They did this a few years ago too; no Bucks, no FTR, lost Penta/Fenix, broke up The Acclaimed...no idea what the Gunn Club have been doing, but, they and Brody/Buddy and Undisputed should be doing a lot more tag work.
