AEW has the most talented crop of jobbers who have clout from other promotions or can give you a good/challenging match for 15-20 minutes that they're going to lose. Surprised they didn't put him in the CC last December. I don't think he ever beat Okada in NJPW so you can do a little promo on that if you run the match on Collision.

If memory serves, Shibata still has some stuff he cant do/cant risk, which is why he doesnt do a ton of long singles matches and has been used far more in the trios stuff.

 

He had some long matches against Danielson, Ospreay & Jericho, but it looks like they put him in a lot of triple threats when he had the Pure belt, so yeah. Him & Takeshita also had a pretty good one a few weeks ago.

 

Need him versus Chiitan.

 

As much as I hate JD and think he’s toxic to the wrestling community, this behavior ain’t it either. IWC is toxic and I wish it’d stay away forever
