Goddamn Peacock sucks. I get home from a show hoping to watch the chamber and fucking can’t because it says it’s been live for 9 hours and won’t let me restart it’s just showing packages for Charlotte and Drew

incredibly dumb way to get there IMO but the moment was so good you just have to forget about everything else and soak it in they crushed that lol

 

I’ve never realized how accomplished Liv is until they showed her stats. Damn. Good for her

 

Considering where she was with the Riott Squad and how much better someone like Carmella was booked, its a nice about face that she's gotten the same (and better) accolades since Vince has been gone. She does such a good job in that just below topcard role where at any moment she's a credible champ (main champ, mid-card belt, tag champ, MITB, etc), but also you spend every second of her reign wanting a true top babyface to beat her. Kinda the Miz of the womens division in that way.

 

I fell asleep before the main event because I didn't think anything interesting would happen and missed the most interesting thing in wrestling in years

 

I am at the point where I legit cant tell if the Rock is so deluded that he's at a Vince-level of nonsense booking (that mid-PPV promo hyping him as the TKO savior for example...or deciding he should have Cody give him his title shot last year and the fans would love it)...or if he's doing a borderline Andy Kaufmann level of genius where he gets involved in a story and its paying off years of stuff and also his promos feed into the fans antipathy of him.

Like surely this Cena thing was planned before he even announced the retirement tour, but that also means they had, what, 5-6 months to plan this match. Is Rock even actually a TKO board member or is that kayfabe?

Wonder what Sami does (triple threat vs Orton and Owens?)

what does Reigns do? I don’t like the idea of Rollins/Punk/Reigns triple threat and don’t think facing anyone in the Bloodline would do much

 

I thought everyone in the ring killed it, but thought commentary did a bad job selling what huge of deal this is.

 

Peacock does indeed suck. My Roku app had no sound...unless I just let it run for like 15mins and then it'd just randomly work (which I only learned because I was putting my daughter to bed during that Trish match). But literally any other show had sound. So I had to chromecast my screen just to watch it...felt sillier than VPN'ing into AEW shows. Id love it if anyone else got the gig, cause Ive watched a bunch of NBC shows on Peacock and their interface sucks.

Though both MAX and Peacock suck because probably 80+% of my watching of them is WWE/AEW, and in both of them I have to go like 5-6 remote clicks deep to bring up the PPVs. Fite knew the only reason I was logging onto that site was to watch that weeks Dynamite/Rampage/Collision

 

So, there was a moment where I realized commentary had been silent...and it was when Pat had to interject his shit after Cody told the Rock to fuck himself...Cole, bless his heart, had rightfully decided there should be no commentary of the entire moment until Cena turned, at which point Cole started swearing up a storm. But Pat couldnt go 90 seconds without screaming something.

It reminded me of the Hogan heel turn where he wants to be the dude to yell "but whose side is he on", without any of the credibility to pull it off.

Its gonna age like toilet wine too. In the same way we (rightfully) view Lawler as a sex pest for his womens commentary or dont give credence to over the top heel commentary....McAfee is gonna have XPac level heat for fans 5/10/15 years down the road for how many moments he's ruined

 

I think the tragic part is, kayfabe, its super true. He's not Super Cena anymore....but, Bray squashes him in that match. After it, he loses clean to Theory and Solo. In kayfabe, he's severely diminished and its not crazy to think The Rock has solutions for him

Whats funny is he's reported to be booked for basically every date going forward. So, if they do it, he's doing weekly promos with no merch outside, etc.

 

This is probably just a product of the moment, but this is the most legendary Elimination Chamber ppv in decades. This was better and more important than RUMBLE! Just...... legendary stuff. The Toronto crowd, congrats, you got an all-time moment tonight. First off, we get to say FUCK now in the WWE lol...and then yeah, what a way for Cena to go out. it's not bad man...it's not bad.

I know Jade Cargill has been somewhat fumbled since she came over but I really think her being out is gonna do wonders.

 

Honestly at this point I don't think I have been this invested in the buildup to a Mania since the Bryan stuff going into WM30.

 

Jade hasn’t been fumbled. She sucks in the ring and she needs to figure that out.

 

I'm wondering if all the talk about last week's Smackdown been thrown together quickly out of nowhere and then getting that lame promo on the show was also a misdirection.

 

Yeah I've never changed my mind more on a talent than Liv Morgan. It just took her/creative/wwe a lot of time to finally get the character she was always meant to play. They were doing this weird face (but kinda acted like an ass) thing and along with her "decent" wrestling skills....I hated it.

But she's acting naturally. Her mic skills are now excellent and her in ring is legit now. She's a great worker

I guess what’s craziest for me is just the amount of time it took. Like it’s only been a couple years that she really kicked in and took over. And they didn’t even mention her win over Rousey. She’s really good too so it’s well earned and deserved
