I kinda wouldn't mind seeing Josh Alexander in NXT reuniting with Ethan Page. They were a really underrated tag team back in the day.

 

i second this, actually. his best run was the family story, overcoming the odds to win the title, just to lose it minutes later to moose. needs some serous character development upon entering aew. 70% of the roster can have great matches, but are 70% of them stars?

it makes zero sense why AEW didn't just air Grand Slam live today

I assume that’s not an AEW decision and WBD didn’t want to air it live to boost ratings. TK can’t just air whatever he wants whenever he wants.

Why air it in the middle of the night when no one will watch when you can air it right after one of the biggest sporting events of the year? They didn't fly their roster 13 hours just so 100k would see it aired live.

It’s lead in is NBA All Star Saturday night. It’ll have the strongest lead in of the year and it also helps them not go head to head with NXT. Seems like a smart strategy to me.

It’s the normal Hyperbole that comes along with WWE nowadays. Seems like every signing is the biggest deal lol

 

Not really any different than people getting excited to see an NJPW talent signing with AEW after having several matches there.

Yeah, I was watching it and told my wife she is about to come out and eventually she did, it just seemed so obvious to me and that's why I didn't really understand the "surprise" factor. Also, she was in the Rumble and they mentioned that she is wrestling as a WWE wrestler this time so they kinda already mentioned that she signed with the company.

 

Just got home from NXT and thought it was a very fun show. All the matches were good with the tag titles being match of the night I think. Trick and Thorpe over delivered while the main underdelivered, but was still good in its own right. The guy next to me was the worlds biggest Austin Theory fan so if any one guy "Lets go theory" chants made it to air, it was him
