Yeah Spears, Starks, and MJF were basically Cody's entourage in AEW.

Spears is a little different though. Guy was on the tail end. Another run in next was really all he was gonna get.

 

Starks would get lost on the main roster this close to Mania. An NXT main event run is absolutely the call for him.

 

Ethan Page is also one of Cody's boys and he's in NXT. Maybe not for longer if they're going to call people up post-Mania but Ricky could fill that spot.

 

Gimme Ricky in Ethan Page’s spot in NXT. Ethan Page is so goddamn boring and overrated.

If memory serves, he had major back issues for a lot of 2022/2023, I think thats what held him back the most. He wrestled that 4-way at the original Forbidden Door, and then no singles matches again until basically the build of his Copeland feud this year. And in that same time frame, Brody got a title match v Mox, the Darby feud and coffin match, and that 2023 CC run, all of which otherwise seem like stuff Malakai would have done.

 

I still feel like once HHH started running WWE Black kinda lost his motivation in AEW and was just waiting for his contact to be up

and the Copeland feud is one of the only times I've seen the champion have to go through stablemates to defend his own title. I still think Malakai/Andrade was a missed opportunity on Collision even if the matches with Brody & Matthews were good.
