Black's performance in AEW is certainly interesting. I'm not entirely sure what went wrong. He got his house of black which at its peak is still one of the coolest things in wrestling. He still looked good in most of his matches. But definitely feels like he left a lot on the table. Hopefully with Trips in WWE he can reclaim that spark he had in NXT.

 

Loved his aew theme...thats how i discovered this band

 

Miro not taking an L, malakai also not being the most easy guy i guess...still, how AEW dropped the ball on Ricky Starks, Malakai and Miro is baffling. U could build a whole main event scene around those 3 guys

 

ricky starks feuding with oba femi should be pretty dope

 

I think AEW has dropped the ball with a lot of talent but Miro and Malakai seem absolutely fucking miserable to deal with from a creative standpoint so I’d exclude them personally.

That’s two different companies that seemingly had creative issues with them not wanting to take a pin lol

 

I always take the “they’re difficult to work with/wont lose” reports with a pinch of salt as they’re nearly always put out by the company that are trying to save face.

 

Tbf, it would be weird if Miro himself put it out that he's difficult to work with

 

apparently Ricky Starks was supposed to win the "real" AEW title from Punk when he returned the last time lol

 

yeah they were building it on collision, it would have been a dope feud but ya know, real glass etc

the premature death of that feud tho led to my personal MOTY of 2023 Starks/Danielson strap match so we'll always have that

 

NXT desperately needs new men in the main event scene so it's honestly the perfect time for Starks to go over there.

 

I get the feeling Starks goes directly to the main roster. no reason for him to spend time in NXT and he'll have bigger names advocating for him to be there. NXTs men's division is struggling, but I don't think bringing in Starks to lose to Oba Femi fixes that problem

 

You'll get a feud with Lexus King and like it!

 

Starks is Cody's boy. 100% main roster bound.
