3 brawls last night and another way too long MJF segment, means nowhere near enough women’s matches. Where is Julia? Where is HJH? Where is Deonna? Where is Willow and Stat? I guess Collision possibly. AEW is just kind of in a weird rut of stories right now. As soon as someone ends the death riders story, the faster they can recover from it. I love AEW but man, they have to do better.

 

Toni is easily the best on the roster and its not even close for me

 

AEW has great talent, but they could be in much better storylines.

positives:
-harley cameron and the ventriloquism. she is talented.
-toni & mariah continue to deliver.
-hurt syndicate and the gunns.
-samoa joe referring to shibata as 'speak and spell'.

negatives:
-death riders. the luster is gone. odd that the story right now is white (NJPW) and cope (WWE) are the 'aew guys' in this feud. (on this topic, tony should man up and tell darby that his contract to his company is more important than climbing a mountain. there's a ripe opportunity for darby to be the aew world champ and thiese opportunities don't always come around like this).
-too. many. beatdowns.
-the reveal of mark davis as the newest member of the family. the commentary did a descent job explaining the heel turn, but the audience who was oblivious to all this context, had zero fucks to give.
why, why, WHY is broky king eating so many pinfalls?? right idea with the okada theme distracting buddy. the distraction should have lead to a pinfall win on buddy, and NOT BRODY. so many big men are taking pinfalls and losing some of their credibility/appeal.
-does EVERY match have to go through a commercial break?
-all this effort to get on max and you AREN'T airing grand slam live on the app? you can still air a 'replay' on tnt after the all star game, but why not show it live on the app?
-just give us hanger and mjf already, shit.

it doesn't do anything for edge.
but, say, if white pins mox in this tag match, and it's jay/mox at rev, you can tell a more interesting story with cope being jealous. possibly helping christian cash in on white if he wins.

Deonna's been on Collision some. But yeah, Stat/Willow havent wrestled since the gauntlet. Jamie Hayter should be working every week on Collision or Dynamite. Its just baffling to keep givin MJF that spot when that schtick would actually work better on Collision the way its styled.
