I'm only 4 matches in, but I think this is a very fine show so far. MJF/Hechicero and the Trios match were both okay, Danielson/Takagi rocked, and the Women's title was very fun. Hopefully the rest of the show can deliver

 

i feel bad because i'm burned out on wrestling rn even tho it is real good but i watched the main and wow. that finish. an insanely over guy vs an insanely over guy and one of them just wins. that'll keep me around.

 

yeah I've sorta been hitting a wall with the weekly shows, realizing I'm not even giving it my full attention

Him saying dumb shit and making r*pe jokes is what did it for me

 

i didn't know about the rape jokes and that's more than enough reason but this is kinda why acting like people who do gross things are bad at their jobs muddies the waters, i just assumed yall hated Max because of a year of bad Acclaimed angles

 

Yeah some of it's definitely me being petty and thinking he's just bad at wrestling and promos lol

Thought Forbidden Door was a fine show, but I'm just very burnt out on the concept as a whole and think it feels even less pertinent now that all the big name international stars you wanted to see come through are under contract with AEW anyway.

Like with WWE's brand warfare gimmick on Survivor Series, I find myself just counting the days until they cycle is over and we can return to normal programming.

 

Goddamn. Swerve vs. Ospreay ruled. It’s a truly special time to be a wrestling fan.

 

Strangely enough Corpus was pretty hot for RAW a couple weeks ago.

 

It doesn’t feel as special anymore either because they can bring (and have brought) a number of those talent in throughout the year. With Wrestle Dynasty being another crossover event it feels redundant.

 

For sure. I also don't think it's a coincidence that by far, the most anticipated match on the show and the one that got the best crowd reactions/investment was the main event contested between two AEW full time talent. Just...book your own guys. That's what people want.

I think the concept is better served as a special episode of Dynamite at this point.

 

I want OC to join TMDK now so he has to wear orange and it'll piss Taz off. That and I want him and ZSJ to go on cute adventures.
