Show was great. Little to no complaints. Jay losing isn’t that big of a deal to me, he’s been incredibly well protected and will be back in the title picture eventually.

Swerve/Hangman was incredible. So glad Swerve is finally getting good storylines and matches to showcase how incredibly talented he is.

 

Depends on where you’ll be and what you like. Hazy ipas and fruited sour smoothie beers, Arvon are the best. Küsterer Brauhaus is the newest spot from one of the best lager brewers in the state, full German pub experience. City built has really good food and really solid offerings; none for me are amazing beers but I haven’t had a bad one from em.

 

Lol haven't looked online since last night, but jesus you'd think that the main event was just a bunch of Nazis killing puppies. The nerds online are furious.

they have got to clarify the Continental Classic prize lol. i just don't get how the ROH & Strong titles fit in at all. even if the winner gets the "triple crown", and they defend in the next year's tourney, what is stopping that guy from losing the ROH title at a Final Battle or losing the Strong title on a US NJPW show? or are they just ornamental now, and ROH is just not going to have a champion around?

i am really excited for it and they could wrestle for a gift card and i'd still watch, but i don't think anyone in that company is certain on any of this haha

 

My understanding is its a unified belt across promotions. The ROH title lineage and NJPW Strong lineage go with it, but they go away and are replaced with this ultimately.

Kinda odd they didnt do it with the TV title instead of the World title....but it kinda sounds like ROH going forward is gonna be more closely intertwined with NJPW

 

I didnt love the angle, but its at like 4.4 or something on cagematch, which is pretty silly. People have gone a little insane into the "jAy wHiTe is bUrIEd" stuff

 

i just cannot see Tony Khan retiring the ROH World Title haha. i would be shocked.

my main confusion is TK also says it will be defended at various times throughout the year, but also in the next years tournament itself. so, say Eddie wins the inaugural Continental belt/trophy. he defends it and loses it at Grand Slam to, say, Yuta. Yuta is champion come the tournament, and he's defending the Contintental title despite maybe not even being in it the year prior?

no one statement or idea seems to line up with each other

i just don't read that stuff, though. literally one time ever. caring about people caring about Cagematch ratings is the same as caring about the ratings themselves... like, why even subject yourself to that discourse? i get really annoyed about comments like the one you're referencing to, because they carry this air of "people care too much about wrestling lol" while also literally coming from reading wrestling forum comments. we are all nerds, it feels self-hating.
