I'm not saying it wasn't a stupid story/build, just that it doesn't do much to him. Heels are only so tarnished by losing. And he's got pinfall wins over Hangman, Andrade, Starks, and MJF in the last handful of months to fall back on. That is significantly more than anything on Joe's resume in AEW.

For everyone complaining about Jay White's booking... Were you the same people complaining about Kenny Omega's booking the first days of AEW? He just started there like 6 months ago, he has a hot stable and was just in the main event of a PPV. Give it some time.

 

To be fair, Id be arguing more about Omega's booking the last couple months (especially after his match with MJF) than in early AEW (when his VP role and, in retrospect, vertigo, etc were a big deal).

Got no issues with Jay Whites booking overall; just that it was the right moment/person to dethrone MJF if they wanted.

 

MJF bullying TK into eating a pickle is a funny ass image

 

It was very clear that MJF is walking away as the champion tonight, especially with Jay White having the belt for the past few weeks. It's classic booking, the heel steals something from the babyface and he gets it back when he wins.

As far as White losing to a one legged MJF, Cody beat Rollins with a torn pec muscle in HIAC and he I think it's safe to say he bounced back from it. It's not like MJF won clean too.

So far the only 2 people to beat White were MJF and Punk, I would say he is pretty protected.

 

Swerve is the best

Death match, ladder match, and tbs title match were my favorites. So happy for Julia.

i mean, im still complaining about Omega's booking. i personally don't think a title feud is a perk on its own in a vacuum because all the context surrounding it exists so why pretend it doesnt. his hot stable just got bodied by a one legged guy they beat up that night already

 

idk man - BCG has zero kayfabe credibility rn and it's been like 5 months. i can't imagine turning on a big show and expecting these guys to win at this point

 

just caught up on the show. hangman/swerve ruled. main event was the worst match from any company of the entire year

 

also very stoked for Julia hart. her character work has been stellar and very deserving of the title.

as a whole, I thought this was one of their stronger shows of the year, but I really hated the main event

I’m an over the top, biased mark and the Bucks/Omega stuff fell flat for me yesterday, i missed the build but it looks like i didn’t miss anything.

The Bella Twins are hosting ... an Amazon Prime reality dating show where twins get split up into different houses to date other twins. Personally, I am a fan of the two of them being on tv even if this show is a war crime.

 

Thinking about the addition of Ospreay, which i’m stoked about, there was always the title he was given of being the new Kenny once Kenny left NJPW and in hindsight thats exactly what he was/is.
