Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Choosing to run back that awful main event is a choice. Not sure what the point of that is

and I get people don’t like Darby. I don’t really either. But he’s not for us, he’s for younger crowds the exact same way that Jeff Hardy was for younger crowds back in the day. And that’s fine!

  16. it feels like it was probably more popular in the 90s when they were running raw in football stadiums

looks like 41k in toronto in 1999, 33k in the georgia dome

  21. i did look into this immediately after posting and it's possible that because i live in atlanta and went to both nitro and raw at the ga dome in like 98/99 i have a false memory of a run of stadium shows around that time.

but they also ran the skydome in that time frame so i'm gonna say i'm right because they haven't come close to doing that for a non ppv since lol

  22. They’re doing great and the Cena turn was the most cross over into other random ass news outlets that they’ve had in like 20+ years (excluding the Vince shit) but we won’t ever see anything like the late 90s/early 2000s ever again.

  23. I also don’t want to hear Stephanie McMahon talk about anything if I’m being honest

  24. okay upon further investigation i'm not totally crazy but it was more wcw running the stadiums.

Nitro in 1999: Ga Dome twice, astrodome twice, superdome once, and i'm gonna give them the fargodome too since it holds/held more than 25k.

Sorry, but Cody, Punk or Roman come nowhere near as culturally popular or relevant as Stone Cold, The Rock or Hogan for that matter. They may draw bigger crowds consistently, but you don’t see any of them crossing over to Hollywood, hosting SNL or young kids wearing their merch. Stone Cold and Hogan merch was more prevalent in the main stream in their heyday. Even Mankind had commercials lol

This is just some forced narrative from TKO because they are doing great business and trying to monopolize two industries (soon to be 3) at once.
