Why the hell was that not the main event? Run the Raw 6-man tag in the death slot and finish with that banger

The crowd really helped. DC brought it tonight. It was only 3K but they were as loud as a crowd twice that size.

Would someone be able to explain in excruciating detail the "Invasion" storyline to @Sean Murphy. He's really interested, but kinda shy so he may say you don't have to, or encourage you to stop, but he really wants to know every last detail.

The Invasion storyline in WWE was a major plotline in 2001 that involved the merging of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) to form The Alliance, which then invaded the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The goal of The Alliance was to take over the WWF and dominate the professional wrestling landscape.

The storyline began in March 2001, shortly after the WWF acquired WCW. WCW wrestlers started appearing on WWF programming, initially as faces, but eventually turned heel and formed The Alliance with ECW wrestlers. The Alliance was led by Shane McMahon, who had recently returned to the WWF after a hiatus.

The Invasion storyline featured many memorable moments, including:

    • The debut of The Alliance on Raw, where they attacked WWF wrestlers and took over the show.
    • The formation of Team WWF and Team WCW/ECW, which consisted of the top stars from both sides.
    • The "Inaugural Brawl" at the Invasion pay-per-view, a five-on-five tag team match between Team WWF and Team WCW/ECW.
    • The "Winner Take All" match at Survivor Series, which determined the fate of the WWF and The Alliance.
The Invasion storyline was ultimately unsuccessful, as the WWF defeated The Alliance at Survivor Series. However, it is still considered one of the most ambitious and controversial storylines in WWE history. Some fans loved the storyline, while others criticized it for its poor booking and execution.

Here are some of the key points of the Invasion storyline:

    • The storyline was a result of the WWF's acquisition of WCW.
    • The Alliance was formed by WCW and ECW wrestlers to take over the WWF.
    • The storyline featured many memorable moments, including the "Inaugural Brawl" and the "Winner Take All" match.
    • The WWF ultimately defeated The Alliance at Survivor Series.
    • The storyline is still considered one of the most controversial in WWE history.
I hope this information is helpful!
