Maybe I'm an old, but...

I do think the Wyatt Sicks stuff is well executed. Costuming is great. Production values are great.

but also...

I don't understand what any of it has to do with winning wrestling matches.

Like, there's gonna come a point where they have to get into the ring and wrestle a match, and that was always where Bray's Fiend/Funhouse stuff started to fall apart. And now there's five of them.

Perhaps I'm too nostalgic for the Swamp Cult era of the Wyatt Family, but I'm not totally sold here. I hope to be wrong.

no matter how this angle ends one thing is for sure is that Bo has absolutely nailed the character

Swamp cult era was my favorite. And I mostly agree with you here. I think they gotta find a way to make them more “normal” in the ring and not just straight trying to murder people and no sell and all that stuff. Just paint it as like this is how they dealt with grief or something. Or how Bo did and he created his own following

 

its 2024 and two of the best wrestling promo/vignettes of the entire year are from bo dallas and jeff jarrett

 

Honestly, I kind of think the smartest thing they can do is not really make it a wrestling thing. Make Bo the worker...maybe Nikki as well for the womens side...but dont make them a faction that goes after all the belts. Make them a Brood/HOB chaos agent. Random attacks on groups, people turned to the dark side, etc.

Nobody in that group is ever gonna be above mid-card, but you can get a TON of value out of them by using them sparingly to influence midcard stories. Like, right now, Gable being terrified of them and aligning with the Creed Bros out of fear is a great example of how to use them.

 

Bo screaming "HE TOUCHED MY BUM" while being handled by security was peak Bo Dallas during that era. He was gold back then.

 

AEW Collision last week was top 5 for cable on Saturday night, #1 in its timeslot.

 

I like this idea. I don't know that they'd be willing to not go all-in on them, given the audience reaction, merch moving, etc., but I would like this.

This is a good question; gotta imagine Solo and Jacob are working it, but odd to pick just one member of the tag team.

a good point about the Wyatt 6 is them targeting wrestlers who are treating their family bad since Bo's family was taken away from him hence why they targeted Gable and could lead to targeting The Judgment Day and even the Bloodline

I'm excited to see where it goes - I thought it was perfect to drip feed us some lore after such an explosive debut
