Well, can safely say that'll be my last WWE house show for a while.

Energy was SUPER high to start the show, and then every match was basically the commercial break rest holds and crowd work. Crowd was kinda dead by intermission. Think I could count on one hand the total number of suplex/throw style moves that happened in the first two matches. The Jey v Priest match was 4 minutes of Yeet taunts and like 5-6 mins of actual match. Even by house show standards, super, super weak.

But totally awesome for the WWE wrestlers who get paid more than they've ever gotten paid, go take like 10 bumps, hype a crowd, and then head backstage. Would still be super fun as a way to introduce someone to wrestling (and there were a TON of kids there as usual, including the dad i was talking to in line who had convicned his kids they were going to a car show instead of their first WWE show), but not ideal for a solo outing.

 

Yep. My last house show was in 2017 or 2018 and I was bored to tears. Nothing but crowd work, rest holds and finishers. The main event was Roman/Elias which was painfully bad. Definitely a cool way to introduce someone to wrestling but kind of boring for a seasoned fan.

 

I think my last was 2019; and I;d say like 3 of 7 matches were like 3* level good. Like, some good sequences, 10-12mins of actual work, etc. And the others were either squash-ish or like Miz doing a schtick rather than a match.

This one, dont think anything would have touched 2*. Worst, "Yeet" stuff aside, it was all the same schtick. Ludwig did the same heel stuff that Balor did and Tiffy did. Gunther was sorta the lone standout

edit: Lol, found that trios match. Sin Cara & The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) defeat Mike Kanellis, Mojo Rawley & Primo Colon. And it was clearly a showcase match for Sin Cara.

 

Catching up with SD properly. Loved the ending to the KO/Waller/Andrade triple threat. Looked smooth as hell. Waller is underrated in the ring IMO.

 

Why can this company not afford better looking fake blood lol

 

Probably because 9 times out of 10 they use real blood. But they might need to invest with the Wyatt stuff

im looking forward to these small Texas shows even if the crowd is like 800, at least it will be ppl interested in the show lol

 

Holy moly this is incredibly powerful

 

almost wish Jacob could’ve led a group with Tama, Tanga and Hikuleo. Cause Solo does absolutely nothing for me

 

Did not expect to see the Los Campesinos' IG account post a photo of them seeing Pete Dunne at the airport.

 

Pumped to go to the Rumble since its relatively close.

 

Gareth is a big wrestling guy. Kayfabe's been referred a few times in lyrics, new single mentions "not drawing a dime", they even had an LIJ aping shirt.

 

Solo stinks imo.

 

Solo's fine but he's suffering from being pushed too hard too fast. He's been involved with every Roman title defense for the past 2 years and went on to beat John Cena clean, while not having put it all together yet. I think the potential is there, but they need to slow down

 

Funnily enough, almost exactly the same problem Roman had; was a supplemental piece of a faction than suddenly THE guy when he hadnt shown any obvious promo or ring work ability.

Solo's is made worse by not getting to actually be solo either, as every 2 weeks he adds a new member that is the focus instead.

 

"I just add more joints" is a lovely tag at the end. Commercial commentary remains undefeated

 

I think Solo would benefit from having the new bloodline kick him out, bring in Hikuleo or someone else to be their 4th and have Solo help turn the tide for Roman’s team. Then he can go back to being built up the right way again

 

I can see getting kicked out of the new Bloodline after SummerSlam when he loses against Cody, he disappears for a while and comes back for Survivor Series
