if this is a choice at all, people give kenny too much credit. choosing between matt and nick jackson or cm punk is a no-brainer. he's running a company lol

 

I don’t think most of this is a work, I just think there’s so much that’s a part of it that we, the audience, and even wrestling journalists, do not know/understand that until something stupid like Punk leaving wrestling again or Hangman quitting AEW over Colt Cabana actually happens, I absolutely don’t care about dirt sheets or speculation.

 

Tony Khan has fucked up so many things recently - like don't get me wrong he's done a lot of good too - but Wardlow was super over and has cooled off because of dumb booking, TK put Hangman in really fucking stupid title defenses that had zero heat, who knows what will happen with Ricky Starks and The Acclaimed.

and then of course there is the women's division

 

idk. if you look at several of the other former champs, they aren't having the same problem. hangman was a great wrestler as a champ but he was never able to sell his own storylines. a lot of it is on him. tk certainly isn't blameless, for sure, but he isn't deserving of 100% of the blame like y'all like to seem to post

 

I wonder if it's his last match ever. But I definitely could see him back in WWE after a few months. Rumble pop maybe

there is just a lot of weirdness in AEW right now - I mean they've even found a way to cool off Bryan Danielson into the fourth most important member of BCC who loses all the time now.

and it's never a great thing when the press conference is generating more attention than the entirety of your biggest PPV of the year lol

 

what happened to Hangman being "an anxious millennial cowboy"

I think all his stories were well told (and obviously his build and chase against Omega was the best wrestling story of 2021) but he won the title at a time when the company just brought in a ton of big stars too and it probably did all get lost in the shuffle.

but overall Punk's comments about Page last night were really unnecessary.

 

Im watching Punks full scrum and fuccckkkkkkk it is brutal.

 

danielson who had an incredible match with jericho??? what?? third biggest of BCC? y'all are hiiiiiigher than TK lol.

 

also I love CM Punk haha he's the reason why a lot of us probably got back into wrestling in the early 2010s again - he is also a bitter jerk - you gotta take the good with the bad haha

 

Mox Claudio and Yuta have all been booked stronger recently. I wonder how many times I'll have to watch Danielson lose because of someone cheating haha

hopefully we get some resolution this week with the Garcia storyline

 

maybe i missed part of the scrum (i don't believe i did) but Punk called hangman "dumb and emptyheaded?" i mean, i disagree with him lol and i like page, but if that's it, freaking out about it this much is making a mountain out of a molehill

 

There’s zero defending Punk, he’s talking like an entitled elder statesmen who thinks he doesn’t need to earn respect when HE is completely new to a locker room, he walked in completely entitled around a ton of other extremely talented and successful workers who need fuck all from him when there are so many other humble veterans there.

Yuta barely even figured into his match last night. idk man. i'd say danielson is much much bigger than him right now lol.

Also, Punk in the scrum pretty much admitted the jump into the crowd fucked up his foot. At least was the catalyst for it.

 

By the way, want to see two guys work in the press conference, watch Lee and Swerve. From like 43:45-46:00, you see Lee building arrogance, then Tony teasing the rematch, and then Swerve doing the heel "nah" thing.

And compare it to Punk who is barely forming sentences
