None of this is a work. It’s sad, but it’s also juicy and I’m entertained.

Not Alvarez, but Nick Hausman who apparently is/was friends with Colt...if you watch the scrum from the very start, Punk just immediately goes in on him, cuts him off before he even asks a question (and then learns he's not talking with Colt and sorta walks it back).

But, also why its so obviously a shoot...Punk is there to sell his match with Mox and a future match with MJF and, unprompted, he gets into the Colt shit?

The depth he went into on Hangman was really, really weird. Makes that call out a couple weeks back pretty uncomfortable.

 

Imagine typing that on Memorial Day weekend of this year...

 

Please please please let MJF come out during the first big in-ring promo of this angle with a "I Star Of David Colt" shirt on.

 

It’s surreal. I never thought I’d hear a massive pop for MJF IN CHICAGO after Punk wins the belt there. So so wild.

 

Even Mox was getting nearly 50/50 level chants by the midway point of that match

 

it's gonna be fun to watch MJF try to heel up a crowd that's 100% behind him. he's gonna have to get really creative.

 

I feel like it’s been buried by everything else but Dave said Black likely wrestled his last match for AEW last night.

 

Is this the promo that seemingly ruffled Punk’s feathers? I feel like MJF said much worse in that build up.

right it's more likely there will be an ultimatum of choosing the Elite or Punk haha

 

tbf, i like page a lot, but a lot of punk's criticisms of him are fair. the guy has been aimless since losing the belt and is now reduced to losing trios matches. a lot of his actions, which imo are fairly minor, seem like a guy struggling to remain relevant.
