Personally I do not see what Hangman did as being any different that the jabs on promos that Punk would give to people in WWE all the time that he made his name off of doing.

Doesn't seem like its been mentioned here yet, but some other stuff coming from the presser:
- Lee and Swerved seemed genuinely pissed about Tony suggesting a rematch with The Acclaimed
- Toni suggesting that Rosa isn't hurt and just wouldn't drop the title to her

 

This is the wild part. Its pretty clear Punk is just shooting, but if it was some planned work, they are basically working "the mid-200s WWE locker room was healthy and we want to pretend we're like that!", which is just an absurd idea.

I will say this is most legitimately interested I've been in wrestling for a while. It's a train wreck I can't look away from. After watching a more extended clip of the presser, it's also one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Punk just randomly shitting on the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tony asking Phil for one of his seltzer at the end of the scrum were hilarious.

 

So genuine question, why do wrestlers get pissed about other wrestlers going into business for themselves? Shouldn’t you be going into business for yourself especially when it’s a dog eat dog type of industry? I mean to get a head and make the most money possible I’d certainly go into business for myself and take down whatever is in front of me to get to the top.

 

The root of all of this is Colt/Punk.

 

And if I were Punk, I'd probably be a bit pissed about the Colt shit too if what he's saying is true, but l probably wouldn't have gone off the rails and gone into personal digs like that at a presser hot off my big hometown win.
