This is definitely one of those things that if its a work, its a bad work. Just comes across as embarrassing for the company at a point where they can't really afford to look second rate. Just shitty behavior from Punk.

I guess? idk. it feels like an incredibly delicate situation. I'm not really sure where the locker room battlelines are drawn, but sounds like FTR are team Punk. So you do anything too rash, and you risk having both your World Champion and the ROH champs/hottest tag team in the world walk.

of course, don't handle it right the other way and you risk having your new trios champs and the lifeblood of the company walk

It's a mess. I really can't say what the right move for Tony is. But honestly, letting Punk make a fool of himself might not be the worst way forward. If Punk embarrasses himself enough that he loses the support of FTR and the rest of his half of the locker room it becomes a whole lot easier to kick him to the curb.

What does the whole Colt having an account with his mother have to do with anything. For all we know they have a joint account in addition to their own accounts. It’s not unheard of lol

In general, it sounds like there's a lot of entertaining wrestling to get caught up on over the week when I have the time...especially with MJF's return and Clash at the Castle being a good card to try and give Triple H led WWE a go after failing out with them after being big into NXT during the black and gold Era.

After watching the presser though, Tony needs to circle the wagons fast and get a grip on Punk...that's someone going into business for themselves and burying the line between work/reality a bit too much to where it looks like WCW 2000 in a bad way. I love him as a performer, but this goes beyond even a potential bitter heel turn into locker room cancer territory. He really needs to take the job to MJF and take some time off at this point. And Tony needs to grow a pair and cut off the live mic when someone goes off script.

 

CM Punk just really reminds me a lot of some toxic narcissistic assholes who cause drama and chaos wherever they go that I know in person.

A lot of tattoo artists have this same exact shitty personality.

Everything I know about how Nick Jackson operates backstage (he wasn't nicknamed "Indietaker" for his piledrivers) about how he doesn't put up with bullshit and is always the first one to stick up for the boys I should have known he wasn't going to mesh with how Punk operates.

In Meltzer's comments about it he said he talked to TK in person earlier in the day and said that TK definitely is trying to leverage it into a worked shoot, and talked to him about Bret/Shawn, but Meltzer was unsure if those guys would be willing to put that stuff aside to work with eachother again.

This stuff is definitely going to get worked into the angle with Punk/MJF for sure.
