I guess it's a question of whether their goal would be to sell tickets, or get TV viewers. If the former, it makes sense to align it with the weekend when everyone's in town, but if the priority is viewership, people already have too many hours committed to watch wrestlemania content on their screens.

90% of Baron Corbin's twitter posts are about eating Prime Rib or drinking Scotch. Just give the man a "Whiskey, Steak, and Cigars Bro" gimmick already.

"Happy floral shirt fedora wearing guy" just doesn't seem like him

If that's what he's consuming all the time, no wonder he's so "happy".

to be fair, this isn't (AFAIK) a television taping, rather an ippv for the honor club, or for digital distribution. in that case, you want to sell tickets, and the best time would be during mania weekend. if this was, per sae, like mlw's blood and thunder, where they're taping weeks of television, then yeah that would make more sense. supercard of honor in itself, has always been a large event type show, not a television taping label.

and what's with these friday night shows? a saturday/sunday show would make it easier for people from austin, or san anton, or houston to go out for this show, rather than on a work day. (i drove from houston to dallas last saturday for hard to kill).

For sure. My point was, I don't see people tuning in live to watch the IPPV when they're already going to be watching a silly amount of live wrestling on television that weekend. But if the goal is to sell tickets to see it in person, I agree having it on the weekend there when wrestling fans have descended on the city makes more sense.

I'd wondered why I hadn't heard much about him lately, and reading up I realize he was banned from entering the US for the past 5 years because of an illegal crossing he tried to make a booking. Another great Canadian wrestler who has worked with a lot of the world's best - and I'm so glad to hear he's reemerging now.

Interesting that she would do something like that for ESPN but not any fox sports coverage

I imagine it has more to do with ties she developed through Star Wars/Disney, than any affiliation with WWE - and subsequently Fox.

Well, Big E also did something similar for ESPN with the Fury/Wilder fight. But there was a football game on Fox that had a Michael Cole advert cross-promoting SmackDown recently, too.

And in the 5 years while he was gone soo many WWE people stole his stuff lol. Naomi in particular.

Yeah, I immediately though of the Mandalorian tie-in.

Probably also different networks testing out the worth of WWE beyond the weekly shows.

I obviously haven’t been watching Raw, but they got The Hurt Business back together? Then broke them up again?

And thus WWE continues their trend of not putting the belts on their actual tag teams and instead going with their makeshifted ones.

Now so presumably Riddle/Randy can start their WM feud.
