The average age of a NXT viewer is like 64 lol

 

Cant say I blame her. Debut on Smackdown, shortly after get squashed by Zelina. Get a title shot based around a pie incident, and only get the match because Charlotte kicks your ass so much you get DQ'd. Get dominated the entire title match, with a brief moment where Charlotte is caught cheating then beats you clean. And then watch everyone around you contract COVID as you lose to Charlotte at every house show.

Im honestly more surprised we havent heard of more people quitting in the past 6 months or so.

 

Most people are saying it was burnout, more than anything.

 

I wonder if that’s because of a lot of people restructured their deals in 2019/2020 and would rather just stick it out than deal with the 90 day no compete from quitting.

Burnout from bad storylines and being misused...sure.

Burnout from being overworked? Not sure its possible to work fewer matches in the 6 months after you get called up...

 

She still had to travel every week, with house shows starting up that's gotta suck

 

would never blame anyone for calling it a day from travel burnout. i was on planes 4 times a week a few years ago for just 3 months and i never want to come close to that lifestyle ever again

 

The one that blows my mind is PAC, who apparently basically day trips the AEW shows.

But with Toni, she's off TV for most of 2020 due to the pandemic. And off for like 2-3 months mid-year before being called up. I can definitely see her getting these crap stories and suddenly traveling a lot again and just saying "I dont need this"

 

There’s traveling, and then there’s traveling for a job you feel like isn’t doing anything for you. Good on her, hope she relaxes and when she’s ready tears it up somewhere. One of my favorites.

 

Not to mention if they stopped doing mandatory testing, she could be looking out for her health too

 

Jake the Snake has covid, he is saying himself that he is high risk. Really hope he pulls out okay...

 

I was reading that during her NXT US run Storm only won 2 singles matches which is absolutely insane

 

They’ve not thought much of her for awhile, other than the brand battle, they barely used her. Not too good considering everyone thought she was a champ in the making a few years ago.

 

ah yes because asymptomatic cases aren’t something to worry about

 

Progress Wrestling Returns In 2022 With New Ownership

 

Nah, thats definitely off. I see v Shotzi, v Aliyah, v Rhea, v Jessi Kemea, and v Zoey Stark as wins from 2020 on for her. Which, considering she only wrestled 35 total matches for NXT/WWE in that time frame seems about right. Rhea Ripley, by comparison, wrestled 85 matches in that time frame.

Also, 7 of those 35 matches came within the last 3 weeks....which kind of lays bare how rarely used she's been in both NXT and main roster the last 18 months
