Let's talk about Sammy stuff I actually care about: his tnt title run so far is kinda underwhelming. Darby's and Miro's reigns were cooler.

 

When you get the jobber squad as opponents...Bobby Fish, Ethan Page, Tony Nese...its the "Irrelevant even in the Indies" All-Stars. Miro got Archer and Eddie and more promo time to work with.

Lethal match was solid, but, he badly needs a strong feud heading into Revolution.

 

Love that the MJF mid promo is starting to pick up real steam as a trend on tiktok lol

 

It feels like sammy got the belt because they want to give him an extension or something, I just never understood the hype at all. He’s always seemed like someone who could be really good but just isn’t there yet. That being said, it’s also really tough to come close to the two prior belt holders that had so much charisma, a unique style and solid storylines. It just feels like he’s a placeholder until they want to put the belt on hook or something.

 

I've been kinda over Sammy ever since that comment he made about Sasha surfaced. Just comes off as one of those douchey bro types to me.

Sammy in ring is great but yeah. His comments on Sasha make it hard to root for also his allegiance to Jericho too in booking definitely holds him back imo. Instead of getting the rub from an all time great it feels like he’s just kind of treading water with the group.

 

Agreed. He really needs his own standalone feud, rather than getting dragged into every group fight that happens. He has enough personality (maybe more as a heel) to do his own thing, or at least sometimes be apart from the IC. Especially seeing as the IC has been treading water for a while - even Santana and Ortiz are associating with others.

 

Sammy is an awful babyface, literally has no identity as one.

 

babyface sammy with a manager would slay, though. I'd much rather have him in a stable with, say, Lio and Dante Martin or something than inner circle (since basically everyone has some sort of stable they're apart of).

 

I think Sammy is good in ring and has charisma and a recognition factor. Still...give me tnt champ Eddie Kingston or Pac.

 

I think Sammy is good, but my take on the matter is that Punk’s “you’ve been replaced by Britt Baker” line was 100% accurate and truthful just in regards to Sammy or Jungle Boy as opposed to MJF.

 

The actual 4 pillars are Page, Britt, MJF and Darby and I will die on this hill.
